The nba once again handed out its Player of the week awards and to no ones surprise
LeBron James of the Miami Heat took home the East POW for the 3rd straight week after the Heat posted a 3-0 record with key wins over the Mavs , Suns and league leading LA Lakers averaging 31.3ppg 9.0rpg 5apg 4.3spg he put up his best game vs the Mavs with 31 points 12 rebounds6 assists 4 steals and 1 block.
The nba gave the West's award to
Al Jefferson of the Utah Jazz which turned a few heads after the Jazz went 1-1 this week however Big Al posted numbers of 33.0ppg 16.5rpg 3.0bpg with his best performance coming against his former team the Timberwolves with 39 points 20 rebounds and 4 blocks.
As we head into the nba's weekly news we start with another coaching change as the Raptors have ditched
Jay Triano replacing him with assistant
Rob Little.
The Raptors have a record of 8-22 and have lost 13 of there last 15 games.
The Spurs signed ex player
Michael Finley to a 1 year deal this week after the loss of Antonio McDyess , in 4 games he is averaging 2.5ppg and 1.6rpg in 11 minutes of action.
The Utah Jazz also looked for wing help in the form of 13 year vet
Larry Hughes who has been a pleasant surprise for coach Jerry Sloan starting at the 2 spot in 5 games averaging 15.4ppg 3.0rpg 1.1apg and 2.6spg playing 34 minutes a contest.
The D-League game of the week saw the New Mexico Thurderbirds lose at the hands of the Rio Grande Vally Vipers 100-104.

Ryan Anderson had another solid outing with 29 points (5-8 3's) and 5 rebounds but was out done by Vipers former UCLA standout

Kenny Adams posting 24 points and 8 rebounds in a loss to the Iowa Energy , Bayhawks center
John Hart catch the eye of Donnie Walsh pulling 21 rebounds in a win over the Energy and Pistons center
Greg Monroe made his début for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants adding 22 points 15 rebounds in the loss.
The Christmas day games brought joy to the fans as the league showcased its best teams , the knicks topping the Bulls 82-118 behind a steady knicks bench.
The game of the night had to the Heat vs Lakers , Miami coming away with the win behind 86 points from the big 3.
Orlando vs Boston resulted in a 2 point victory to the Magic at home 99-101 holding off the hot hand of Ray Allen's 32 points , Denver came away with a win in Oklahoma City 100-95 behind a double double of of 27 & 10 from Melo.
The final game out west saw the Blazers taken apart 86-111 vs the Warriors in Oakland powered by
David Lee's monster 30 point 16 rebound 5 assists night.
