Didn't actually see what happened to the knee.

Did he just come down on it hard? Because I didn't see much contact.

Read it's not his knee but his calf.
Thu Dec 30, 2010 1:06 pm
It was a non-contact injury... He hurt it on the way up to the rim I guess, seeing as he hung on the rim for a bit to avoid falling on it. X-Ray's came back negative which is good news, just gotta wait on the MRI now. From seeing NBA injuries from the past, non-contact injuries like this are usually pretty serious.
Even though the Celtics are in the same division as the Knicks, I'd never hope for injury to get in the way of competitiveness. I hope it's nothing serious.

next time...just go for the layup.

Turrible...

injury after injury. this team was so great when all were healthy earlier this season.
A loss to Det.
ps: T-Mac is back.

Just like what Paul Pierce said "When we get healthy we're gonna get scary"

I still don't understand how he got hurt. Just like last time where he went up for the alley-oop and just came down hurt.
T-Mac's back alright, but he has to be consistent. I say the Pistons coach is pretty damn stupid for not giving him the minutes he's due.

It can happen, just look at Greg Oden's last in-game injury seasons ago against the Rockets. Oden jumped for the block and there was minimal contact with Brooks? but his knee was already injured on the way up and was aggravated when he landed on it.
Then we realized after a few leaked photos that it was actually his penis that hit his knee causing his own injury.

I hope it's nothing serious. We need to see him in the NBA Finals against LA.

Well, considering McGrady flat out said he was far from legitimate basketball-shape at the beginning of the season is where it starts. He hasn't looked to take over games like he has, at times, until maybe last week. He's got his own schedule he's going on mentality/basketball-wise, so early season McGrady wasn't looking to score at all. In fact, he was probably playing passive to a fault.
He's also been going on one of the league's best trainer's rehab schedule. Arnie Kander knew he was out of shape and broken coming into the season, so the work they've put in has taken a few months to finally set in, and if I'm not mistaken, McGrady said he didn't think he'd be in optimum shape until the All-Star break.
The thought that today's McGrady is somehow "due" respect and immediate playing time is laughable. All Tracy McGrady is due is to be traded after getting healthy; attracting a borderline playoff team to over-pay for him with hopes of him being their "final piece".

The Celtics can't seem to catch a break with all these injuries. A real shame for KG, who's been looking much more spry and healthy than he has since his injury during the 2008/2009 season.
Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:09 pm
supposedly it's a muscle injury. funny, looked like he grabbed the front of his leg when he was on the ground at midcourt and last time i checked the calf isn't on the front of the leg. i could be completely wrong, but he's trying to tough it out and make it seem not as bad as it really is
Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:37 pm
On topic , hope it's not serious , they deserve to have another shot at the title
off topic , T-mac is back ? he fucked up almost everything he could in the game against the Pistons , he is inconsistent as hell

Since Lakers got lucky with Perkins' injury last season

I think Brooks knee somehow got contact with Oden legs though.

Oh sure. It was the penis that did the damage.

I won't mind T-Mac coming to the Bulls, hoping to be the SG we're looking for.Of course not overpaying him,but with a considerable slary,he would be a valuable piece.I like Brewer,he can share minutes with T-Mac really good, and I believe T-Mac will be a huge upgrade over Bogans on the veteran SG spot(I don't blame Bogans, but he just can't be the starter)!
Back on topic:Hopefully Garnett will be ok. Celtics are really ruined by their injuries, losing their potential to be a nightmare for every opponent, like when all players healthy.
Thu Dec 30, 2010 8:59 pm
Garnett's injury is not serious as expected, he will be out just a few games
Thu Dec 30, 2010 9:23 pm
I hope that injury is just his age acting up.
