Warriors are a good, fast paced team if you want run and gun.

I played with Warriors some games, great team but I think Magic or Celtics is better..

Celtics would be good for a long Association, because you would have to rebuild after a year or two.

I'd go with Boston, as Houndy said, you would have to rebuild in a couple of years and Magic, Knicks, Warriors, there are some stories with those teams already...

I have Thierryitis, I can't decide between a Mavs association, or a rebuilding one

Thierryitis is when you constantly reboot stories, not when you can't decide a team. Don't put a worst image on me

Started one with the Grizzlies.

2010-2011 was terrible, we ended up with the 5th pick.

Midseason I traded Tony Allen and Darrell Arthur for Delfino and Mbah a Moute.

Offseason I did not resign Zach Randolph, and Marc Gasol wanted to test Free Agency. I only resigned Mbah a Moute cuz he is really cheap.

I drafted Jared Sullinger and Mason Plumlee.

There were no good centers in Free Agency, so I signed Wilson Chandler and traded him for Andris Biedrins, and then I signed Chris Hunter as third string C.

Started the next season 1-5, but won 4 in a row to improve to .500

Just blew out the Celtics, Rudy Gay dropped a 53 and 7 on them.

I love using Vasquez, he has great size.

Roster as of now:

PG- Conley/Vasquez
SG- Mayo/Henry
SF- Gay/ Sam Young
PF- Mbah a Moute/Sullinger/Plumlee
C- Biedrins/Thabeet/Chris Hunter

So I ended up resigning Beasley, Anthony Randolph, Eric Gordon, thabeet and blatche.

Does thabeet ever become good?? Shipped him for McGee

Traded Randolph and Brandon Jennings for Jr Smith and tyrus Thomas

Eric Gordon for Ellis but later did 3 team trade with Ellis for curry

PG. Derrick rose, Stephen curry
SG Mayo, tyreke Evans, Smith
SF Durant Beasley gallinari
Pf bargnani Marc gasol tyrus Thomas
c blatche hibbert McGee milicic

I made a Knicks PlayCall page(in Photoshop) to keep a written record of my favorite plays. What do you cats think?

Started an association with the T-Wolves, adn won 2 streak. But before the 2nd game, I get T-Mac, Oden, and some guys.

T-Mac's debut was awesome, he scored 23pts,5assists,5steals.

Looks good. How many plays do you run for your backups though? Who else apart from Toney Douglas will get plays run for him? I'm assuming you are starting Chandler & Gallinari

Speaking of Grizzlies, they just won the NBA championship in my 11th or 12th season.
They were seeded 4th and beat the Lakers (1) in 7, swept the Jazz (3) [who defeated us, the Thunder (2) in 5], and won game 7 of the Finals over the Roy/Lopez led Nets (3).
Kinda weird seeing Johnny Flynn labeled as a 'NBA Champion'. The team was led by Flynn, Gay, and a PF who was a 44th pick in some past draft.
That PF was the Finals MVP. Averaged a double-double in pts. and rebs.

Anyways, Lost on Thunders, but still, McGrady had a good game, 27 points, I think.

First Finals MVP that wasn't a former 1st Round Draft Pick since the great Dennis Johnson did it with Seattle in 1979 :applaud:

Ended my grizz cuz its fuckin pissing me off. Made the finals like 2 or 3 seasons after and lost in 7 games to Bobcats ( augustin, jax, wallace, thomas, blake griffin  ), and even thought Gay had 3 consec 30/7 seasons, failed to make an All- NBA team, and Mayo who had 3 consec 20ppg and 4 assist seasons failed to make an allstargame

Is it just me or if you use your fave player, you can feel his shot release. that's what I feel to T-Mac. haha. I sound like a homo...but seriously. When he's on fire, he's unstoppable.

Anyways, lost on freakin heat, but I got Johnson's release. Awesome!

Re: The "How is your Association going" Thread

It's just not you. I have a generated PF in my 2K10 association who's jumpshot style is that of Durant's and my team happens to be the Thunder led by Durant. Had an easy time with the shooting drills with that PF, even in games. Had a game where him and Durant both had 50+ pts. each. The team ended up scoring 130 something and the opponent about 110 pts.

Rotation:
Felton-PG
Chandler-SG
Gallinari-SF
Amar'e-PF
Turiaf-C

Bench:
Douglas-PG
Azibuike-SG/SF
Fields-SG/SF
Randolph-PF
Curry-C
Walker-SF
Mozgov-C

Reserves: Mason, Rautins, Williams

Sometimes I play my second unit more than the first without realizing it.

I prefer starting Chandler at the 2. Being a solid defender, I want him on Wade, Vince, Kobe, Iguodala but sometimes I'll switch him to the 3 when he's with the second unit. At different points during a game, Chandler, Fields, Azubuike, & Gallinari will play the 2 and the 3. But I never play Amar'e at the 5.

14 Fade/41 Roll/42 Roll are the Knicks bread & butter plays for Amar'e.

I use these plays;

Starting PG:
14 Fade(C Quick), 31 Roll(Horns), 41 Roll(Knick Angle), 2 Bully(97 Bulls Iso)

Starting SG:
42 Roll(Knick Angle), 41 Post(Kings 4 Out), 21 Power(Triangle 8), 12 Over(Knick Horn)

Starting SF:
23 Up(Knick Angle), 13 Ice(Knick Spread), 13 Up(Knick Horn), 21 Trey(Endgame 2)

Starting PF:
41 Post(Kings 4 Out), 31 Post(Jazz Horn), 25 Iso(Knick Base), 14 Drive(Horns)

Starting C:
35 Post 2(Knick Spread), 35 Post(Knick Horn), 15 Clear Post(86 Celtics Tight), 25 Quick Post(Knick Base)

Bench PG:
14 Fade(C Quick), 31 Roll(Knick Spread), 23 Up(Knick Angle), 2 Double(Knick Angle)

Bench SG:
23 Post(Knick Angle), 42 Roll(Knick Angle), 42 Swing Roll(Knick Angle), 12 Over(Knick Horn)

Bench SF:
13 Ice(Knick Spread), 13 Up(Knick Horn), 23 Post(Knick Angle), 23 Up Double(Knick Angle)

Bench PF:
34 Post(Knick Spread)

Bench C:
25 Quick Post(Knick Angle)

Scoring with a month left in the season(Year 1):

Amar'e-------34.4(leads NBA)
Chandler------11.3
Gallinari------10.6
Azubuike------8.8
Fields----------8.5
Curry-----------7.6
Randolph------6.5
Felton---------6.3
Douglas-------5.5
Walker--------1.9
Turiaf---------1.6
Rautins--------1.5
Mozgov--------0.9
Mason---------0.5

Amar'e dropped 60(a Knick single-game record) on OKC and 44 on Portland to win his eighth Player of the Week award. Then I lost to the friggin' Lakers again, 115-114 on a last second shot by Gasol. Not having Eddy Curry(4-6 weeks with a broken wrist) killed me. Lakers had too much size inside. But I came back to beat the Nets 112-111 on a 10-footer by Gallinari at the buzzer. Amar'e had 50+ in both games to win his ninth Player of the Week. He's first in MVP and Most Improved Player voting.

I shut Trades OFF in my Associations. As in Madden, I play with what I've got(in Year 1), then build through the draft and free agency. To me, it's more fun when the established stars stay with their teams.

Found these Knick player edits from another site. I didn't change the sig shots, but I used the uniform/sneaker edits.

For Amar'e sneakers, I use blue/white. For Felton, it's orange/blue/white.

Eddy Curry is still a 2K beast, Randloph has nice range, Fields is an excellent slasher/dunker, Douglas and Azubuike can be deadly from long range.

Practice the pick and rolls. If you're using the Knicks, that should be your bread & butter.

An incredible Year 1 for Amar'e;

Most Valuable Player
Most Improved Player
All-NBA 1st Team
All-Star(starter)
Player of the Month(3x)
Player of the Week(10x)
NBA Scoring Champ - 35.5(first Knick to win the scoring title since Bernard King in '84-'85)

Knick team records;
23 FGs - 12/8/2010
60 pts - 3/25/2011
