SourceThe New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets have agreed in principle on a three-way trade that will send Terrence Williams to Houston, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Lakers guard Sasha Vujacic and a 2012 first-round pick from Houston will go to New Jersey. Nets forward Joe Smith will join the Lakers, who also will send their 2011 first-round pick to New Jersey. In an effort to create luxury-tax savings by trading Vujacic’s $5.5 million salary for Smith’s $1.35 million, the Lakers were willing to include their first-round pick.
That makes twelve teams for Joe Smith, so long as he plays at least one game for the Lakers. That ties the record, a stint with one more team and he can stand alone as an answer to a trivia question.

The other is Jim Jackson correct??
I know Matt Barnes and Eddie House have had there share of teams. The Nets got picks from this trade and it's pretty awesome for them. Terrence Williams might be able to help Houston out, let's see if it works out for him over there.

Rockets win.

That's right, Jim Jackson and Chucky Brown are both tied with twelve.

Vujabitch gone! The Lakers are becoming more likable. Now if only Bynum would stop being a brittle jerk.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:37 am
I immediately thought about your Vujahatred when I saw this news.

The Nets now have both Farmar and Vujacic

So this is going to be the picks that will include in the Melo trade.

So, Daryl Morey does it again if you ask me. If Yao goes back at least close to his numbers from past years, the Rockets won't need that first round pick and Williams is posting numbers like 14-7-8
(in 2k11) Goes for a fresh start after the problems with Avery Johnson. He could explode in Houston if used properly by Adelman.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:57 am
People should stop dreaming about Yao being at least close to his previous production. The best you can hope for is that he can get half or at most, 3/4, of his previous output.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:07 pm
Don't even expect that. And Terrence Williams isn't magical, so don't really talk about him exploding and becoming a potential MIP this year. Not happening. Sorry.

Love the deal. Just glad we didn't get Vujabitch in this trade. I swear when I saw his name I was pissed, but then saw he was going to the Nets.

I'm hoping TW makes a good contribution, but of course this just makes things worse for Pat Patterson.

Nets win haha! lol vujabitch. That's also a good trade for the Rockets..
Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:48 pm
The Rockets won so badly, it isn't even funny. T-Will and K-Mart? That's a dynamic duo
Wed Dec 15, 2010 12:52 pm
I enjoy notions of there having to be a sole winner in a trade.
How did not all teams win?
Lakers: Move a disgruntled garbage time player for more size.
Rockets: Acquire another young piece, who while worthless currently may become something and if not is cheap.
Nets: More draft picks and an expiring bringing them one step closer to Mr. Anthony.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 1:23 pm
You mean renting Anthony?

Thank God we didn't get Vujacic. I hate that guy to death.

I'm not so fancy about Terrence Williams, yet. All I know about his game so far is that he has mad hops, but I haven't check out his game in great details yet. Might have to do that soon. I have no idea how he'll fit into the rotation though. The Rockets are just too deep at the moment.

Net's owner Prokhorov wasn't kidding when he said they would like to be more like the Lakers than the Knicks, they are acquiring the bench players piece by piece. They have another former Laker on the bench, former play now assistant coach Larry Krystkowiak. Please Mr. Prokhorov take Walton too.
The sad part for the Lakers though they will have to part with a first round pick if this trade pulls through.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 6:49 pm
Bruce, you're an idiot. Luke Walton is awesome.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 7:25 pm
@sit: all the more reason the Nets should take him, he is wasting away on the bench. The Lakers needs to share his awesomeness with the world.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 10:05 pm
Nah, he wouldn't be good anywhere else. Only in LA.
I like the deal. Andrew Bynum isn't going to be able to play many minutes, Pau Gasol is having issues with his body. Joe Smith is another big body to add to the mix.
Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:51 pm
I think it's good for all teams. I doubt that the picks can help New Jersey land Melo, seeing as he wants to be a Knick.

I would acquire Vujacic and let him die on the bench, if that gets Sharapova to see more games at the stadium.

The Nets kept Humpries, good for the Nets, as him and Kim Kardashian are apparently an item. I don't get it, how do guys like Vujacic, Jaric and Humpries get that sort of hotties.

Fame, too. As Chris Rock once pointed out, if Mick Jagger drove a taxi there's no way women would find him anywhere near as attractive.

Martti, doesn't Kim Kardashian have Kanye's baby or something?
