It's gonna be good fun if you sim and recap a lot of seasons like badreligionau

Yeah, it's not going to be quite as in-depth as that. This should be the opposite of a Thierry dynasty: Goes many seasons, but with no polish or graphics. However, making things interesting, this draft class has the first dozen NLSC'ers on top (sorry to 2012 draftees, but you won't be included). Anyway, here is how the offseason went:

Toronto Raptors 2011 Offseason In Review:

- Barbosa accepts player option (god damn it!)
- Weems chooses to test free agency; Evans, Wright and Dorsey let go
- Accept Blazers offer of DeRozan + 2012 2nd rounder for #7 pick and Rudy (wow)
- Took NLSC'er William Sit (PG/SG, compared to Gilbert Arenas) with 7th pick
- Took NLSC'er Ray Lliach (C, compared to Joel Przybilla) with 16th pick
- Signed SG Shannon Brown to 4 year/26.5M (MLE)
- Signed SG/PG Salim Stoudamire to minimum deal
- Signed SF Bobby Simmons to minimum deal
- Sit -> Athleticism camp
- Traded Amir Johnson, 2013 1st and Leandro Barbosa's expiring for Grant Hill's corpse and Iguodala (thank you trade finder!)
- Lakers trade Bynum for Arenas (!)
- Bulls take Harrison Barnes #1
- Melo's decision: Indiana! (lol)
- Lockout averted, CBA doesn't change

Where the NLSC'ers went:

SG Leo Lai (Valor) - Nets (6th)
PG/SG William Sit (Sit) - Raptors (7th)
PG Thierry Tirieux (Thierry) - Clippers (12th)
C Ray Lliach (Cartar) - Raptors (16th)
PG Chris Hov (hova-) - Hawks (20th)
SF Andrew Watson (The X) - Nuggets (22nd)
PG/PF Julian Martin (dare) - Lakers (23rd)
PG Axel Gomez (Axel) - Pistons (26th)
SF Justine Crewhead (Justine) - Bucks (31st)
PF Martti Must (Martti.) - Wolves (32nd)
SF Kenny Young (badreligiouau) - Blazers (35th)
SF/PF Shad O'Greene (Shadowgrinch) - Nuggets (52nd)

2011-12 Opening Night Depth Chart:

PG: Calderon/Sit
SG: S. Brown/Fernandez/Salim
SF: Iguodala/Hill
PF: Amar'e/Kleiza/Ed Davis
C: Bargnani/Cartar
IR/D-League: Alabi, Simmons :applaud:

Toronto Raptors 2011-12 Season In Review

- Went 7-10 in October/November
The Craps got off to a cold start, losing their first five games. However, they bounced back to finish the month just a half game out of 8th place.
- Went 7-7 in December (14-17)
Neutral month saw us hold our ground.
- Went 12-4 in January (26-21)
The team had a phenomenal month, going 12-4. However, Jose Calderon broke his arm, and is to miss rest of regular season. Sit and Rudy Fernandez will take over at the PG spot.
- Hov, Must, Lai play in rookie/sophomore game
Unsurprisingly, they lost...
- No Raptors or NLSC'ers in All-Star Game
Fuckers!
- Went 7-4 in February (33-25)
We enjoyed another winning month and leapfrogged the Celtics for the division lead! Who needs El Calderon?
- Went 13-3 in March (46-28); Clinched Playoffs
Phenomenal month of March clinches the playoffs, and puts us in great position for a high seed. Month was highlighted by an 8 game winning streak
- Went 4-4 in April (50-32); Won Division and finished as #2 seed, to face Bucks in first round
We went 4-4 in April, securing the #2 seed, and finishing with a franchise record 50 wins!!!
- Defending champion Suns finish 30-52
lol. Starting 5 is Billups - J-Rich - Marvin Williams - Warrick - Robin Lopez
- Andrea Bargnani named all-NBA third team
He averaged career highs in scoring (21 PPG) and rebounding (8.5 RPG).

- Beat Justine Crewhead's Bucks in 7 (Crewhead averaged 2.7 PPG)
After splitting the first two games, the Bucks took 3 & 4 to take a 3-1 lead, giving us nightmares from our 2006-07 first round exit. However, we bounced back to win games 5-7 to advance.
- Beat #3 seed Charlotte Bobcats in 5 games
The LOLcats were pushovers who only won game 3.
- Defeated in 5 games by #5 seed Orlando Magic
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Mavericks defeat Magic in 7, win title
Dirk Nowitzki wins MVP!
- Grant Hill retires
No more logjam at SF position for us!
- Shaq retires, makes HOF
 :bowdown2:  :bowdown2:  :bowdown2:

Key Raptors Stats:
Andrea Bargnani: 21 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 2 BPG
Amar'e Stoudemire: 22 PPG, 7 RPG
Andre Iguodala: 13 PPG, 7 APG, 4 RPG
Jose Calderon: 10 PPG, 8 APG, 96% FT

Atlanta's Chris Hov takes on Toronto's William Sit...

NLSC Rookie Check-in:

1. Andrew Watson (DEN) - 9.0/5.5/6.1 - 1st team all-rookie (Nuggets finish #7, lose in first round)
Sixth man and glue guy for Denver - The X is a triple double machine in the making, and a steal at #22
2. Leo Lai (NJ) - 12.9/1.9/1.1 - 2nd team all-rookie (Nets miss playoffs)
Happily the Nets' starting SG - Lai was third among rookies in scoring
3. William Sit (TOR) - 5.6/0.7/1.3 (Raptors finish #2, lose in ECF)
Backup PG for the Raps - Happy in his role, and enjoyed a solid rookie year, albeit with a pitiful assists average
4. Chris Hov (ATL) - 3.9/2.6/2.9 - 2nd team all rookie (Hawks finish #6, lose in first round)
Third string PG in Atlanta that has shown flashes of potential - averages a triple double per48 minutes
5. Martti Must (MIN) - 4.1/3.7/0.6 (Wolves miss playoffs)
Kevin Love's backup, which is fitting, as he is essentially a poor man's version of him
6. Kenny Young (POR) - 4.8/1.1/1.5 (Blazers miss playoffs)
Third string small forward for the Blazers who still manages to be quite productive in limited minutes - happy for now.
7. Thierry Tirieux (LAC) - 3.8/1.0/1.7 (Clippers miss playoffs)
Shares backup/prospect minutes with Eric Bledsoe - notably leads rookies in FT% at 92%
8. Julian Martin (LAL) - 3.1/1.4/2.3 (Lakers finish #3, lose in conf. semis)
Hometown hero is the third string PG for his favorite team and absolutely loving it!
9. Axel Gomez (DET) - 3.6/1.2/1.5 (Pistons miss playoffs)
Slightly disgruntled bench warmer PG for Detroit - might get dealt...
10. Justine Crewhead (MIL) - 3.4/1.2/1.7 (Bucks finish #7, lose in first round)
Didn't play much at first, but the Ben Gordon-Corey Maggette deal opened up some time at the backup 3 for the sharpshooting swingman
11. Ray Lliach (TOR) - 0.7/3.2/1.7 (Raptors finish #2, lose in ECF)
Prospect C for Raptors has played limited minutes, but has been satisfied. In garbage time, he has shown adept passing ability and potential to be very good defensively.
12. Shad O'Greene (DEN) - 1.2/1.7/1.7 (Nuggets finish #7, lose in first round)
The Nuggets don't know how to utilize the Grinch's... unique skillset, and have only played him in garbage time. The 30 year old wants out... NOW!

NBA Rookie of the Year: Harrison Barnes (19 ppg, 5 rpg, 4 apg)
