Surprises and Disappointments So Far 2010-2011 Season

Surprises


New Orleans- in spite they've lost two in a role theyh are 11-3 and have improved from last year.


San Antonio- They are better than they were last year. It's not really a surprise they are good but there improvement from last year

Indiana- Pacers are in second place and have improved from last year so far. I think the addition of Darren Collison has really helped this team

Cleveland- Why there not as great as they were last year. IM surprised they are near a .500 team without Lebron. I thought they'd be a lot worse

New York- Knicks have won 5 in a row and adding Amare and Felton in the offseason has helped this team.

Golden State- I like the big 3 of Curry, Ellis and Lee.

Disappointments


Miami- 8-7 and having LEbron, Wade and Bosh enough said.


Milwaukee- i thought the addition of Corey Maggette would help this team out but apparantly i was wrong

Don't forget about the rookies where John Wall and Blake Griffin are the only two competing. Evan Turner and the others are no where near the discussion.

Biggest surprise for me is Tyson Chandler. That is all

Disappointments

Milwaukee- i thought the addition of Corey Maggette would help this team out but apparantly i was wrong

Corey Maggette & Drew Gooden are good at making teams they are on worse. Mavs get rid of Gooden, now they are better. Warriors get rid of Maggette, now they are better.

As for Cavs, they were a good defensive team with or without Lebron. Jamison is seeing more ball & getting more comfortable in his surroundings, J.J. Hickson is developing as expecting & Boobie Gibson is getting a chance to play to their strengths. I'll admit I didn't expect them to be hanging at .500, but they're alright. Cavs with Lebron > Miami Thrice.

New Orleans has to be the biggest surprise early on in the season. Just goes to show what a difference a healthy Chris Paul can make. San Antonio's start isn't quite as surprising, though I thought they'd show more signs of age or at least start off a little slower before ultimately finishing with around 50 wins again. Miami is an obvious disappointment thus far, which is at least a little surprising. The season's still young but it hasn't been a strong start for them. All the talk of 70 wins was pretty lofty but even so I expected them to start a little stronger than they have done.

A disappointment is the Rockets. Meh, I thought they'll be hanging at the 5-8 positions.... I still have hope.

Disappointment - Chris Bosh, Erik Spoelstra, Dwyane Wade, Mike Miller, Milwaukee Bucks.

Surprise - Hornets, Pau Gasol, Jazz.

Agreed, he has brought a defensive mentality to Dallas.

Biggest Surprise for me is simple: Why can't Chris Bust do anything?

For me, it doesn't really matter how the Heat will finish the season, as long as they get a good seed, the real games starts on April.

Biggest Surprise- Spoelstra still got a job

The Hornets are probably going to slip to the middle of the playoff pack in the West, but i reckon their success is a surprise since I pegged them as a pretty bad team outside of Paul going into this season. Chicago is also way better than expected. (Was watching Bulls-Suns on atdhe last night. Would have been really upset about the result if I wasn't shitfaced)

Biggest disappointments are the Blazers and Bucks. The Blazers' hopes of winning a title this decade are officially none, and they may not make the playoffs with Roy's gimpy knees.

Biggest Surprise- Spoelstra still got a job

+ Pat Riley is still not a NBA head coach again.

Wonder if the Mavs got him when Nash was still in the team.

The Heat's woes so far are not that shocking to m, because when I looked at their depth chart I see elements lacking in their rotation. But still I am still surprised that they are this bad right now. Scoring only 77 against the pacers.

This is more surpirsing for me though, Shaq looked spry against the nets out there. Patrick Ewing and The Dream didn't look this good at 38. I guess the "Shaq vs" show really did help Shaq???

And another thing that surprised me this year was not that Parker cheated on Eva Longoria, not that he cheated with Brent Barry's wife, what really surprised me was that Brent Barry's wife was GADDAM HAWT.

Like Waferstick and Modi, the Rockets are the disappointment to me. The amount of points they allow per game is a big factor, and their record says they're a team comparable to the Kings, but if you look at the performances Scola and Martin are having, it's intriguing, you'd think they'd at least be at .500. Aaron Brooks and Yao Ming are out, so I guess that kinda contributes to their bad record.

Also, the benching of Joel Anthony is a disappointment.

Perhaps, but I think it's more a case of him having his moments here and there. When he's feeling good, he's going to have stretches and games where he looks like he's discovered the proverbial fountain of youth. Other times, he's going to show his age and miss a few games, as he's already done.
