It's not surprising to me. He didn't had big minutes previously, but now he is the C of this team - the rotation of T'Wolves says that already:

The Wolves are the only team he would be able to start on. He didn't have a role on the Pistons team because Ben Wallace is a good player. Just because he's played a couple of decent games, it doesn't mean he's a great player. If puts up stats like that all season, I'll take back every word I've said against him.

I actually feel good for him. If he can keep up this type of play, then maybe things might click.

In a way you're right about Darko starting on the wolves but, you forgot about one team that he could start on right now, who? The cleveland cavaliers, all they have is Ryon Hollins. The cavaliers need a center bad, and Darko would be a decent starter, better than Hollins because Darko's one of the league leaders in blocks per game, he'd be a decent starter for the cavs.
