LeBron says that Gibson was fouled on possible game winning Finals shot
According to ESPN's Mark Stein and Woody Hannes, LeBron James and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers are filing a complaint to the NBA concerning the possible game winning shot in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. According to multiple sources, the Cavs claim that Gibson was fouled on the shot by Westbrook, and that they have the evidence to prove it.
"We have the proof. The reason we waited is because we wanted to make sure that we had a complaint that made sense." said a team spokesman to ESPN's Woody Hannes.
The NBA however, does not know how to work out the situation. "I mean, if there was a foul, what should we do? Somehow replay the final 3.8 seconds with NBA Final atmosphere? I really don't know." said Commissioner David Stern.
The NBA honestly has two options; replay the final seconds or just say Game 7 was rigged. The NBA doesn't want its reputation to be ruined, but honestly, they can't replay the final 3.8 seconds of the NBA Finals.
The Kings are calling this a "Wuss Move" and Moses Chara has claimed that LeBron is just crying.
"LeBron, stop crying, freaking grow up you [expletive]."

Message To My Readers
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Woody Hannes
ESPN.com Writer
There have been malicious rumors floating around that my colleague, Marc Stein, and I were sources about the Cavs’ appeal to the NBA about the final shot of the NBA Finals. I want to use this column as my mouthpiece to deny and strongly disassociated myself from the actions of the Cavs. I want to also state that I have nothing to do with this in a reporting sense and ESPN.com are definitely not a source.
I want to say that I do not agree with the Cavs’ appeal. I believe it is outrageous. The game tape shows that a little bit of contact between Kings’ Russell Westbrook and the Cavs’ Daniel Gibson did occur. There is no denying that. Gibson missed the shot and no foul was called. Truth be told, it was a soft touch and really shouldn’t be called a foul.
If the Cavs want to go down that road, all I can say is that they are crying over spilt milk. The NBA has the rule of reviewing critical decisions; the Cavs didn’t use their challenge. There was nothing to lose for the Cavs and if it was a foul, Gibson would have stepped up to the free throw line.
This appeal is ludicrous and once again I want to state to my readers that I am not a part of this. I am not a source and my employers and I are currently in the process at looking at our legal options.
As for the league office, I believe that what they have done is right by upholding the result of the game. David Stern and the NBA should not be pressured into anything. If the Cavs can argue that this foul was to be grounds for a replay of the final 4 seconds of the NBA Finals Game 7, then it’s a whole repeat of that infamous Soviet Union-United States Gold Medal Match. It sets a dangerous precedent and we are going to have losers trying their claim at fame again.
Once again, this shows the ‘class’ of the Cavaliers and in particular Lebron James. Only sore losers would go and try and lodge this kind of ‘appeal’.
