I just cant wait to get on the floor and put afew points up from the post and snatch afew boards, The truth is im really looking forward to playing with Baron Davis because he is just such a great player and im really looking forward to him dishing the ball inside to me seting me up every so often."

ImageJamaal Magloire and what he had to say on leaving."I thought I was goin' real well, but obviously not. It was a surprise to me but at least Im not going to Utah. Game 1: New Orleans-99 versus Orlando-82
New Orleans first game of the year was up against the Magic of Orlando was tight all the way. T-Mac top scored for the Magic with 22 while Baron Davis was unstoppable shooting 29. When the siren sounded for the end of the fourth the scores were equal at 68 and went into overtime. Mashburn stole the show with 13points in OT and even with Baron Davis fouled out late in the game they continued scoring lots of basket using there defense to power there offense. In the end the hornets got away quiet comfortable escaping there 4th quarter troubles.

Hornets MVP Voting

5votes-A.Davis-16pts-15reb-4ast-0stl-1blk

ImageOn his first game with the Hornets
"I am very pleased that i could get those points up in OT ad that we lifted ourselves up in that 4th quarter after being 7 points down after lieing down just after we got back up. I was also happy to get all those rebounds on the stat sheet and hopefull i can average around there for the rest of the season."

ImageOn his teams win
"We are very pleased to get that win under our belts, we showed great determination to get back into that match and then we just went on a streak in OT, Everyone did there part and everyone is excited about next game."

ImageOn his OT performance
"What can i say, I was feeling it and that showed with the 13pts in OT, but it wasnt just me, it was the whole team, and if we can hold teams with players like T-Mac to 14pts in overtime we are gunna dominate!!"

Magloire Fans not happy!
Many fans of now former New Orleans Centre Jamaal Magloire are unhappy with the trade that sent him to Chicago in exchange for Antonio Davis. GM Pol06 who had the idea of the trade had this to say "Basketball is a business and we are trying to get the most we can get out of it, we think that in the mid-term future Antonio Davis will be a great player for us. Hopefully he will provide us with plenty of rebounds which he is good at and plenty on points in the post, he will most likely play PF most of the season as we have currently dealt a trade for a taller Centre and are now just waiting for the acceptance of the NBA for the trade to go through."

TRADES!!
New GM Pol06, of New Orleans has done, what he said earlier in this week and has gone through with two more trades. The first trade involved trading Stacey Augmon and Courtney Alexander both who were situated on the Hornets IR. The two were traded to Detroit in exchange, Elden Campbell the Pistons third centre who wasn’t happy with being the third man at his job and demanded a trade back to his previous team of New Orleans. This is what GM Pol06 had to say about the trade “I am pleased to have found someone who is a natural centre, we were going to have to use PJ Brown or Antonio Davis as the starting centre which wasn’t what we were hoping for as both are a little undersized. It is also good that Detroit were so interested in or two IR’d SG’s as they were lacking in backups for that position. It looks like Campbell will probably play as our starting centre and sub with PJ Brown leaving Antonio Davis and Robert Traylor playing the 4.”

ImageThis is what Courtney Alexander had to say about the trade
“I am happy to get a new start again and hopefully I can make a positive influence on this great team in Detroit hopefully playing as the number 2 SG in the team, I’m already looking forward to playing the Hornets.”
ImageThis is what Stacey Augmon had to say about the trade
“I’m disappointed that firstly Steve Smith was picked to play as the backup SG and that now ill have to fight again for the backup SG, it would have been better if only one of us had been traded along with Bryce Drew or something.”
ImageThis is what Elden Campbell had to say about the trade
“Every since I got to Detroit I was rated as the worst centre in there team which I was fine with, yet to be told that I wouldn’t get many minutes this season, even though I am quiet capable of a starting role I knew the best thing would be to leave, so I insisted to go back to New Orleans and have another crack at the title with Baron and Mash, I cant wait to get on the floor with the boys again.”

The second trade of the day was a very risky trade that left acceptable consistant backup SF George Lynch sent to the city of Clevland for inconsistant SF Darius Miles. GM Pol06 had alot to say about this trade"I know alot of people are going to say, why?, well the reason is that with Darius he has unknown potential now. I'd like to think down here at New Orleans with our very positive team we will be able to make Darius Miles into that top prospect he was and use up all that potential he had been said to have had in his earlier years. If Darius can perform we believe that for sure this deal will have fallen in our favour as George doesnt have much potential left in our opinion. Darius this season wont be dominating the minutes and will be coming of the bench for Jamal Mashburn who will be playing as our key scorer this year."

ImageThis is what Darius Miles said about the trade
"I am quiet pleased to be joining the hornets cant wait to hit the floor, reckon this team is a real contender and they deserve to be, I can see us playin' playoffs this year for sure."

ImageThis is what George Lynch said about the trade
"Clevland im sure will be a great club, I have enjoyed my stay at New Orleans and wish them the best in the future long as it isnt against my own team."

I know! I dont know how Davis will even help you out in the long run when he is older than Magloire. You shouldn't even start Campbell who is also old. If anything, you shouldve just messed with your bench players to improve your bench and trade Wesley for a 6'5 or so SG.
