As you may have noticed, there hasn't been an updated in a week. This is because of a couple reasons, but the biggest being that (once again!), the player roles fuck up association. Several all-stars have demanded trades after being removed from the starting lineups due to the very good reason that they're injured.
So in the meantime, follow Sit/hova/Valor/other people's stories.

Cool

You should've turned the player roles off.
Tue Nov 02, 2010 7:46 pm
Yea I always turn player roles off

Yep, some thing has happened in mine, but it's only Jameer Nelson, but am worried about Pau Gasol
I should've kept player roles OFF too, especially after Bucks' debacle in 2k10. You just have to wait for patch I guess

That's if the patch actually fixes the game. From memory, it made it worse last year?

It didn't make the game worse last year, just screwed up any Associations that you were currently playing that had player roles ON, turning Dwight Howard & Carlos Boozer into 3 point gunners
Tue Nov 02, 2010 9:11 pm
Argh, damn ... I have player role ON, too. I guess with CPU trades off they at least won't get traded, but still, that's annoying.
Tue Nov 02, 2010 9:29 pm
You could always turn injuries off. That's the one causing the player roles to be effed up anyways.
Wed Nov 03, 2010 1:57 am
Well, you just need to patrol it. Even with trades off, guys' overalls will decline as they get disgruntled. If you scroll through the rosters every game week or so (which is a pain in the ass I know) and maintain the player roles until it (hopefully) gets fixed.
Come to think of it, there may be a work-around to this problem...
Wed Nov 03, 2010 2:54 am
Glad I haven't started my association yet

Hopefully there will be a patch soon
Sat Nov 06, 2010 11:20 am
That's annoying. Mine has Wilson Chandler injured for the whole season, then on his Player Card it says fed up.

I have this on my bookmarks from my 2K10 days, maybe it will work with 2K11? http://2ksports.com/forums/showthread.p ... ost2101846

Sad to see this one fizzle out.
Also, why the fuck do people think Blatche is a low post presence? Have you guys ever watched him play? Come on.

Loaded up the old file for some simulation fun and made the Jack/Bayless trade. Shortly after, I got the baffling offer of Bayless, Peja and a second rounder for Amar'e, which I had to accept. Amazingly, this was in the middle of an 8 game winning streak, which was unfortunately followed by a poor finish to the month, putting us at 13-19. (NOOOOO our second rounder could be in the thirties!)
January was a winning month that saw us improve to 22-27 and up to 8th place in the West, thanks to STAT and Bargs being a formidable (offensive) frontcourt. The Craps would be 27-29 at the all-star break and had Amar'e (22 PPG, 7 RPG) represent at the ASG. A 8-3 February put as at .500 for the first time since October! Unfortunately, a 6 game losing streak in March killed the momentum, and we entered April at 35-39, in a virtual dead-heat for the 8 seed with the Pacers.
Fortunately, we went 5-3 in April, and made the playoffs as the 7 seed. We faced the Celtics who defeated us in 5 games. They would go on to lose to the Suns (wtf?) in the Finals. Nash won Finals MVP and then retired.
Raptors 2010-11 Season In Review:
- Went 5-12 in October/November.
- Traded Jarrett Jack, David Andersen and Marcus Banks for Peja Stojakovic and Jerryd Bayless.
- Traded Peja and Bayless (with a second rounder) to the Knicks for Amar'e.
- Went 8-7 in December. (record: 13-19)
- Went 9-8 in January. (record: 22-27)
- Amar'e makes all-star game
- Went 8-3 in February (record: 30-30)
- Went 5-9 in March (record: 35-39)
- Went 5-3 in April (record: 40-42)
- Qualified for playoffs as 7 seed
- Lost in 5 to Celtics
- Suns NBA champs, Nash MVP
Key Player Averages: Amar'e (22/7); Bargs (21/8/2 blocks); Calderon (11/3/8); Barbosa (14 ppg)

You must've been stoked that Nash won a ring
Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:32 pm
Indeed. Whether there's interest or not, I think I'm gonna sim the seasons, and report them here, one by one.
Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:33 pm
Am I in the Draft?
Thu Dec 02, 2010 1:36 pm
Looks like Bayless is the new Quentin Richardson. 3 trades in a week?
