Detroit Pistons complete takeover

The saga came to an end.Ilitch, who owns the Detroit Tigers baseball team and Detroit Red Wings hockey team, said in August that he wanted to buy the Pistons, confirming speculation that had raged since the basketball team's longtime owner died last year.Many analysts think Ilitch would move the Pistons to downtown Detroit, where his other teams play. Ilitch has said in the past that he wants to build a new arena downtown for his hockey team, and adding the NBA team as a co-tenant would make fiscal sense.Magic Johnson was also included in this rumors as he was pointed as a co-owner of the team.
The former LA Lakers point guard,who was inducted to the hall of fame,decided to go alone in this race.Earvin Johnson,who is considered,the richest former NBA player bought the Pistons for the amount of 360 million dollars.
Earvin also decided not to move the Pistons to other city or to downtown Detroit which was the idea of Ilitch.The Pistons will stay in the Auburn Hills.

Dennis Rodman appointed as Pistons GM and President of Basketball Operations

One day after Joe Dumars was fired,another "bad boy" was hired at the position of Pistons GM.Dennis Rodman will be the new general manager.Magic Johnson,who is now the owner of that Pistons team,had talks with Rodman for months and "Dennis the Menace" accepted the proposition.The Worm was one of the greatest players in the game known most for his incredible rebounding and hustle to play the game.
"I decided to go back to basketball,I was missing the game and when Magic called me I was really unsure about that.At first i didn't believe that he could buy the team,but he did it.Detroit is like my hometown,I won my first title here and I had such a great moments with all the guys.
I want the glory to come back to this town,I want the NBA Championship to be here again,so i will do my best to complete this task.The Bad Bots will become the Bad Boys again !!!"

@ mp3, thanks for the comment at first,and i will sure give Monroe more minute but im not sure about Ben Gordon.He is not one of my favorite and i really dont like him.He may be involved in a trade

Chris Paul saga comes to an end.


Three time NBA All-Star,former NBA Rookie of the year,Chris Paul,was traded to the Pistons last night.After months of him saying that he wants to be traded,it finally happened.The Knicks,the Magic,the Mavericks and the Pistons were the possible teams that could have Paul on their side but he arrived in Detroit.The Hornets decided to accept their offer.Detroit sent Ben Gordon,Will Bynum and a first round draft pick from 2011 NBA Draft to New Orleans in exchange of the point guard.
Chris Paul will wear number 13 because Rodney Stuckey is wearing number 3.
"Im really sad to leave New Orleans,i love the city ! I had great moments their,the people there are just great you know..but its time for a new beginning.Im proud to be announced as a Pistons point guard.Its a team with great traditions,great players,great city.We will try to qualify for the playoffs this year and I think we can do it.We have nice team in the face of Richard,who is a great friend of mine,Tayshaun,who is probably one of the best defenders in the NBA if healthy.Tracy McGrady is feeling great right now and i think he still has something to show the world."

I think it's a bit one-sided. You should have added a young piece like Daye, Jarebko or Monroe.

solid trade considering NOH sent you a player recovering from a major injury, they still have Bayless in their back pocket and forced you to give up a nightly double-digit scorer, blossoming talented young point and future 1st rd.

@ all,thanks for the comments,im not sure that this is a "pau gasol" trade,just what Clutch said I really gave them a lot.And in real life Paul is considering a trade.

In hindsight maybe i was a little hard saying it was a Gasol trade but maybe the pick is a high one.
