I'm thinking he'll go more like 28-54. He'll gain some traction later in season once he gets use to 2k & makes a trade or two. Still pretty sorry but I can't talk

No offense to Lam at all, but I just lost to the Lakers by 6 on All-Star, so it's not really the difficulty. He needs to find a duo that will help him. Like for me Curry and Lee. For him.... DeRozen and Bargs/Ed Davis?

I don't know, maybe 25 wins? I expect at least 15 wins - you haven't played the Wolves yet. A win is a sign of things to come! :D

Highly doubt I'll finish 7-75. Aiming for 30 wins as the team's ceiling. Kind of hard when my "stars" are a poor man's Maggette (DeMar), a poor man's Okur (Bargnani) and a poor man's Crawford (Barbosa).

Calderon > Wall on opposite day...

RAPTORS WIN! RAPTORS WIN! RAPTORS WIN! With our epic 94-93 win in Washington, we have improved to 2-9! And so caps a fantastic five game stretch of Craptors basketball, where the team played unprecedented .400 ball. Get hyped.

It all began when Triano changed up the "Cack" (his words, not mine) tandem by promoting Jose to the starting spot. This yielded an amazing upset victory over the perennial dynamo Warriors, scoring 109 against their vaunted defense. We then lost to a trio of Southeast teams by an average of 22 points, but whatever, more lottery balls for us.

The true highlight though was our gem of a win in Washington. Bargs lit up the Wizards with 23 points (on just 24 field goal attempts!) and 15 boards, while #1 pick John "Another Brick From The" Wall played like shit against possibly the worst defensive point guard of all time in Caldy. The game was a true nailbiter. Amir hit a pair of clutch FT's to put us up one with 23 seconds left. Then the Wizards missed like 7 game-winner attempts (we kept turning it over and giving up offensive boards), but after Wall's last shot bricked, the buzzer sound, and we won the battle of the cellar dweller East teams.

Bargnani's secret to upping his scoring: shooting more. | 2K10 sucked (but I miss my Bullets association!)

Amidst our gallant 2-3 stretch (which puts us just a half game out of 14th place!), I made some observations of the team: they have very little upside. Our PG's are subpar, our SG's are enigmas, our SF's are passable, but not star caliber, our PF's suck at offense, defense and not fouling and our Center is shooting 37% from the field. Pretty turrible. I'd love to trade the entire team for expirings, but that doesn't seem to be an option. However, there is one player who's been intriguing:

DeMar "Heir Canada" "DeMarvelous" "No D" "DeBust" "DeBlowzan" "D²" DeRozan
Averages: 13.2 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 0.8 APG, .532% TS, 12.8 PER
Role: Starting SG

DeMar can jump, but other than that, I don't really see why he was a lottery pick (especially taken over the likes of Brandon Jennings, DeJuan Blair, Ty Lawson, Darren Collison, etc. etc. etc.). However, he has proven to do three things well: dunk, rebound and get to the line. He can't shoot, pass or defend all that well, but he has some potential. He may be better trade bait than prospect, but I could see him developing into a Corey Maggette-style SF.

In other news, Durant is hobbled with a strained abdomen and the Thunder are struggling, much like the 09-10 Blazers, which makes me happy. (Fuck you Clay Bennett!) The Hornets got their washed-up backup for CP3 in Jamaal Tinsley, while Rafer "Skip To My Lou" Alston has signed with the Queens.

Until next time, Liam out...

Congrats on the win, Bargnani slowly getting better. Your PG's sucks and this proves you need Irving :D

underachieving Craptors! I understand the whoop-ass served by the Magic and Heat... but It's not too much to ask when fans expect victories over so-so teams like the 'Cats! also,

He may be better trade bait than prospect, but I could see him developing into a Corey Maggette-style SF.

if that's DeWoezan's ceiling, trade the fool immediately!

Wow, despite two wins, you got pretty much owned by the Southeast playoff teams. I don't understand how Ed Davis sucks that hard for you, I find him effective in the game. You also should get more out Barbosa, he owned me in mine.

Yeah as clutch said, if C-Maggs is DeRozan's ceiling I would look to cash in. Congrats on your two wins!

And what do you expect to get for a raw player who will play like Maggette in the next years to come? I'd rather keep him and try to make him the best offensive weapon he can get ... he will grab boards and swat shots here and there anyway because of his athleticism. You simply should not overpay him when his contract expires since he will never be a real go-to-guy I guess.

Maggette kicked ass last season, and probably will this year with the Bucks. If my Craps had him, we'd be a far better team... If DeMar doesn't show flashes, he and his 4 star trade value may be on the way out.

I don't expect him to become as good of a scorer then Maggette, Maggette dropped 20 last season in 29 minutes.

Congratz on the win though. (Y)

Congrats on the first couple of wins. :) That Wizards game sounded epic, with Brick Wall stinking it up. Hope DeRozan becomes like the 09-10 Maggette. (Y)

A foul/turnover prone shoot-first ballhog? Why'd he wanna do that? :P Aim higher man!

Be like Mike, DeChosen. Be like Mike.

No, I meant average 20 points in 30 minutes, and shoot over 50% from the field, while getting to the line often.

fair enough Ax; guess i see it from the perspective of 1) does he make his teammates better? and 2) if not, can he single-handedly shoulder a team into the playoffs?

1 post-season appearance in 11 seasons pro says 'NOT!' imo (obvious i had no love for him on the GSWs? )

guess you can argue he spent most of his career with the suckass Clips but hey, he had to play somewhere!
