Whats up?
I've made the switch from Live to 2k this year....just a better damn game hands down! Anyway, I was looking at some screen shots and I saw Create-a Team. Somebody help me please. Are you able to use created team in franchise mode like Madden?
Also, I got the demo and I need help with dribbling. I got the move list, but the isomotion is killing me. I must admit the Live controls are better. I can't pull off moves like I want in 2k. Any tips from 2k players would be great.

I Think you must wait for the game and then practice on scrimmages

yep, when starting an association choose "customize league" then you can replace an nba team
isomotion takes practice, whatever you do dont start wiggling uncontrollably.

Just imagine you're doing the moves in a fighting game. Somewhat like Street Fighter and not like Tekken.

Definitely my downfall with Isomotion in years past, though not being all that experienced with it I don't do much better doing the moves properly.

Just change your controller configuration. Spin move is Y, crossover is B and I don't have to even think about using isomotion.

I might give that a shot this year.

2k9 and 2k10 were forced to use Alternate A on PC

LiveOrDie, You can use the custom team in Association mode, but you have to take an existing team out of the league, which is slightly annoying.

It completely changed the game for me. I find isomotion borderline unplayable (having to use the same stick you move with to do dribble moves just doesn't seem right to me) but since I was only using crossovers and spin moves anyway it made things a lot more enjoyable. Even though technically you lose some control, it frees you up more creatively because you know when you press a button exactly what the player will do, won't have situations where what was supposed to be a spin move turned into an around the back dribble because you didn't move the stick far enough or whatever.

For sure. Sounds like that might be the way to go for me, I've tried to get the hang of Isomotion but since I still don't it appealing, it's probably time to simplify.

Preciate the help guys....I'll give the sticks a few more trys before I switch to the buttons.
The fact that you can use a created team in association mode.....fantastic!!! Thats pretty much what I do in Madden. You add that to all the other game modes..Jordan, My Player mode, one on one practice, etc., etc., 2k is going to be off the chain. The graphics still kinda suck, most players don't look like the real life counterparts. I was a die hard Live fan, but a change has come.

You wouldn't get Elite anyway this year. It's delayed. Unless you want to play NBA Live 10 with updated rosters.

What are those buttons on PS3? Because I might also give it a try. I'm not a fan of isomotion either.

Spin would be Triangle and Crossover would be O. However according to OS the Alternate control schemes have changed that that isn't the case anymore. Soooooo sit tight and wait for it to come out i guess.
