Songaila + Brackins FOR Green + Smith
Not much special. I guess I like it more for the Sixers. Songaila can be useful in short stretches and his 4.8M contract comes off the books after this season. Don't know much about Brackins, but he adds front-court depth.

Don't know much about Brackins, but seems like a decent move, neither Smith nor Green wouldn't get any burn either way. This makes me think that Speights will be moved soon. Any insight on Brackins?

I like the face that the hornets got Jason Smith, i've always liked him as a player for some reason.

I actually went back to the year they were formed as a team and I couldn't find one. They've made some nice draft selections but the trades have been horrible. [See: Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac] at the time it wasn't that bad though

People seem to forget that Bryant didn't want to play for Charlotte and a trade had to be done. He did a "Steve Francis" or "Keith Van Horn" quietly.

Kobe wouldn't play for the Hornets, and you can do much worse than a fringe all-star center with the 13th pick.
