Entry #6: January 2008
Only three losses this month. That's a good thing to have, and to be honest the only team that's even competing with us right now is Dallas. They've only had 9 losses and have one more win than we do, but when we see them in the finals, they're going to have four losses. Guaranteed.
Dwight has played well this season, very well to be honest. He's produced a double-double a game and he was 1 assist shy of a triple-double against the Sonics, and 2 blocks shy of a triple-double against the Nuggets. Vince yet again produced another game winning jump shot, this time against the Magic. Dwight blocked a shot from our former Power Forward, Sean Williams and passed to Kidd, whom threw a long pass to Vince.. who actually pulled up and shot a three to put us up by two. To be honest when I saw him pulling up I nearly shed a tear at the mere sight of him potentially missing, and even after we won with that shot I took him in to the locker room to tell him that it was a stupid choice pulling up with so much time left on the clock. He apologized but it was fantastic to win.
All-Star weekend is approaching and I have a feeling either Vince or Dwight.. maybe even Richard might be invited to have a go in the competition, and I'm sure we'll have someone in our team in the Eastern All-Stars.. maybe Dwight, Vince or Kidd? Even Rasheed? Our team is full of talent, I personally believe that our entire starting five could ice a position on the team.
We suffered a humiliating loss against the Grizzlies, Rudy Gay had an amazing night. I'm not going to lie, we pursued him prior to pursuing Trevor Ariza, but the Grizzlies wouldn't budge. Tough game.
Until next time.

Entry #7: February 2008 / Pre All-Star Weekend
Perfection this month so far, and the sweetest victory I have had in a long time had to be that of the Dallas Mavericks. Seeing the look on Mark Cuban's face everytime Dwight or Vince dunked on one of his players. Priceless. And it was quite good to wipe that smug look off Avery's face, I told him before the game that we'd have the best record in the NBA at the end, and we're on route to do so. We're actually tied with the Dallas Mavericks at 42 wins and 11 losses each, but like I said before, we're going to have the better record.
Dwight has been fantastic yet again, and I've just gotten the word that out of all our players, he is the one that they have chosen to represent the New Jersey Nets in the Eastern All-Stars. Dwight deserves that, he's worked hard. He's had 5 20/20 night's this month, not to mention that he's also currently averaging 4 blocks per game on the month. Still, I feel Kidd and Vince were snubbed.
Vince however has been invited to participate in both the 3-Point Shootout and the Dunk Contest. Word around the league is that the NBA has decided to have a "Champions vs. Challengers" dunk contest this year, where they put two former dunk champions in the competition with two NBA high flyers who have either come close to winning or having their first shot at winning the title. Vince told me that he is going up against former dunk champion, Jason Richardson of the Bobcats, Amar'e Stoudamire of the Suns and Rudy Gay of the Grizzlies. Vince is going to win, again.
See you at All-Star Weekend.
