Bioshock: Infinite

Holy crap, didn't see that one coming. Irrational Games, the developer of the first Bioshock just announced Bioshock: Infinite, which you can read about in more details here. To make it short, it'll be in the sky this time around.
Here's the first trailer:

So I take it they've been working on this while Marin made Bioshock 2? Pretty stoked for this. Looks fucking awesome. Thought Bioshock 2 was pretty disappointing, but the first is one of my favorite games of all time, so this should be pretty sick. Can't wait.

EDIT: To be released in 2012. Wish I had never heard about it. :(

It'll be released at the same time as DNF and Starcraft 2's next campaign!

From the previews, it looks like the viewing distance will be the main visual difference here. Since it's obviously not cramped underwater anymore, the scale is largely increased, and that will certainly give the game a different feel to it, not being stuck in tight corridors anymore.
I wish it could be released next year instead of 2012 though. (it'll still likely come before Duke Nukem Forever...)

Not so happy about the "air-theme". But I love to see the Bioshock-Saga continued. I really liked the steam-punk atmosphere and music. A really nice reference to the 50ies, an Ann Ryand like society and the big dreams of the past. :applaud:

Can't wait to get pumped on ADAM again :)

$45 for pre-order gets you BioShock Infinite, BioShock, X-COM and choice of BioShock 2, Mafia II, Civ V, Spec Ops The Line or the Darkness II. And they give you 30% back in store credit.

Green Man Gaming is offering slightly less (25% back) for the same package. Steam is offering first three games plus TF2 items with no discount.
