His stance and body needs to be slightly more "open". You can actually see what I mean if you pause your video at the :02 second mark. Textbook's stance has the legs parallel, while Jordan's right leg is slightly in front of his left leg, as a good shooter's should be.

Sorry bro I don't know how to change his shooting stance but his shooting motion is spot on tho.

Take 3 Shot:Quick Launch, I like his shooting stance not that big on the shooting motion tho. You guys debate
Thu Aug 12, 2010 12:41 pm
the shooting motion on quicklaunch is terrible his elbow never fully extends...and a jumpshot is about the shot first body second

Oh I know man, but that's just my point. A sig shot edit (IMO) should encompass stance, form, and release of a player as best as possible through the game's options.
Personally, none of the sig shots in 2K10 are satisfactory for Jordan. However, I do think Stojakovic is a good potential option. Slight open stance, sharp flick of the wrist, straight elbow, fully extends the shooting arm on release, not too much lift on the ascend. It more-or-less embodies all of the characteristics of Jordan's shot to some extent.

the ty thomas shot to me has the same problem as the quick launch shot he never extends the elbow it has a hitch in it

The animation of Peja's J is a bit slow to do pull-up jumpers effectively, even if Peja's animation has a quick release. It may look good but it's slow to even replicate that of 'The Shot' (vs. Cle) or the Final Shot (vs. Uta).

Are you just looking at it in the edit screen? Because if you go into practice and shoot around with it, it's no where near as slow as the preview animation in-game.
And as for its ability to replicate classic Jordan moments, players shoot differently in different situations, something that is not accounted for in the game. I take what I see from when a player is shooting *open* and apply that to their jump shot selection, as it should be because the animations do not account for the player having a hand in their face. Allen Iverson is a perfect example, he shoots different open then when he's got a hand in his face (he tries to get more lift and kicks his legs out to get room when he has a hand in his face). So from what I saw of Jordan shooting open, Stojakovic should be right up there with other options.
Though, with Terry editing the actual animations of sig shots now, this discussion is more-or-less a moot point.
