Dynasty All Teams salary cap 500 milion$

hey i sim 3 season on my dynasty and i save settings to all the retired jersey and award now i want to know how to delete them ...?

I've updated the Tutorial in the Wiki, using the steps from the NBA Live 2005 guide with additional notes covered by the NBA Live 07 guide. Default values for NBA Live 2005 through NBA Live 08 are still included along with some example values.

Editing the Salary Cap (New)

If a few of you could spare a moment to check it out and let me know whether it's a bit clearer than before and easy enough to understand that'd be great. Otherwise I can clean it up a little more, or since it's a Wiki you can make your own edits (please note that the Tutorials are locked to registered Wiki users only to discourage vandalism as they are major resources). Feel free to make use of the discussion tab on the Wiki page if you want to make any suggestions or post them here in this thread. After all, we want the Wiki resources to be as comprehensive as possible.

maybe go more in detail about how to use the calculator to change the number to HEX
(i know how to do it...both others might not even know there is a scientific option...)

I know a lot of people have problems with this since they just read it and use the default values as stated by the guide when in fact they are beyond their first year and the salary cap has changed. Put it in the additional notes to not use the default caps blindly so that someone who is following it will check first what their cap is.
Also, you might wanna say that people using TUP have a different salary cap to default NBA Live 08

i believe it is in the screen that shows the players with their contracts, age, and years left
...something "review" i think....not sure

well the salary cap is listed there for either team
take that number, convert, yatta...yatta...yattaa...

I can't search find the hex code in my franchise.dat.. I know the hex code but I don't know what to put on search option..

You mean you're having trouble using the search function in the hex editor?

The hex code you've found. Note that it's lower byte first, so you need to switch the first and second pair of digits.

I'm guessing its one of these:
1. You converted wrongly. Go back and check again.
2. You're using the wrong cap value. Check your cap, don't just use the default values.
3. Not using the lower byte first. Just swap the hex digits around.
4. You're searching the wrong file. Its franchise.dat
5. Something else i forgot to mention probably

How bout I teach you?

First of all, go to the sign free agents screen to check your salary cap

Write it down some where so you don't forget.


Next, open up windows calculator and change it to scientific mode



Now type in the salary cap you found. Don't type it in as it is though. Add a zero on the end and take out the decimal point. Eg. for me 55.63 --> 55630.



Press F5 to change to hex format.

Write this down now but swap around the first and second hex digits. D9 4E --> 4E D9


Open up your hex editor and search franchise.dat for this value (without spaces)



Edit the value to the one for 500 million found in the guide

save it and your done.


There you go. It's not that hard honestly.

bro, i really can't do this coz my hex workshop has expired.. and I can't see when I search the hex code.. Hex Workshop is different from Hex Editor Neo

Yeh I understand but I think I know what your problem is.



You have to set the TYPE to hex not whatever the default type is. Hope this solves the problem.

NOTE: If it works, you can thank Durantula_MVP. He had the same problem and he helped me find the cause

Jhiane check carefully that your search exactly matches the screenshot above. It should look perfectly like that. I have found 4e d9 in your franchise.dat file

lol.. I have overwrite my dynasty which i am editing the franchise that is already 500m.. haha. . I know how to do it now.. many thanks bro..
