Cool
Fri Jul 16, 2010 12:28 am
Glad to see you giving it a go. Hope Boozer works out as well for you as he is for me in 06.
Fri Jul 16, 2010 12:40 am
I have played many dynasties but till now i haven't tried to make a story though i have given a try on Fifa manager story.
Hopefully Boozer will help the team. Now I'm focusing on a SG now to fill the starting 5
Ps. Noob question but i can't find how to change the players on the inactive list

Rose's HUGE night Spoils 76ers great 2nd Half in an OT Thriller
Game Recap
Derrick Rose's huge night led the Bulls to a really tough victory over the Philadelphia 76ers at the United Center. The final score was 149-141
The Guard from Chicago made a really impressive performance ,showing that despite the Bulls didn't sign one of the Superstars this offseason, they have already the one who can be the team's leader in the season. He recorded a triple-double,having 64 points,11 steals and 14 assists and 74% FGs and 33% from the 3pt line.
The game started with the Bulls taking a 4 point lead at the first 3 minutes.Philadelphia made an 8-0 run but the chicago Bulls leaded by Carlos Boozer not only took over but created a 8 point lead at the end of the 1st quarter which was cut down at 4 at the last seconds
The Bulls created a 10 lead at the 2nd quarter, which was raised to 13 at the middle of the 3rd quarter.
At the 4th quarter Sixers made their counterattack. With Andre Iguodala as the Top Gun and Elton Brand taking almost every rebound at the offense, the Bulls saw their lead vanishing and with 1 minute remaining ,the Sixers took a 6 point lead.
But the crucial missed Free Throws by Nocioni and Holiday and the steal by Rose at the last 10 seconds ,helped the Bulls to tie the game at 123-123,which went to Overtime.
At overtime ,Rose was the leader, scoring 11 of the 26 points for the Bulls and making 3 steals giving the Bulls an 8 point lead which mantained till the end.BullsPoints:Rose(64),Boozer(32),Noah(18),Deng(16)

That's now my fault. You need to know how to utilize Korver.

Anyway, very crazy game straight away, Rose just 5 points shy of MJ's career high.
Fri Jul 16, 2010 4:03 am
The 10 shots Korver took were with no opponent! Only 4 were with D on him.
Fri Jul 16, 2010 4:16 am
That's why I prefer Live 06 to 08, three-pointers are very hard to make. And basically all jumpers.
Fri Jul 16, 2010 8:00 am
I have Live 06 installed as well, but i forgot about it completely!

Use the Reorder Roster file swap mod.

Incredible game from Rose to start the season.
Fri Jul 16, 2010 10:14 am
Great game, Rose is wicked in that game. Making a player 64 points in a game is tough for me
Fri Jul 16, 2010 11:50 am
Crazy game to start! Cant belive Rose shot 74% and had 11 steals!! Sounds like you were actually quite lucky to force OT, nonetheless good job closing it out thereafter.
Fri Jul 16, 2010 4:35 pm
thanks. In fact i can't believe how from +13 it went to -6,but i was lucky at the end

November 3rd:
Chicago Bulls(1-0) @ Millwauke Bucks (2-0)Rose,Bulls' Bench take this one against the Bucks despite Jennings' 44
The Chicago Bulls managed to edge the Millwauke Bucks with a great 4th quarter play by the Bench despite Rose being fouled out.
Although Rose was the MVP with 31 points with great help from Deng and Boozer with 20.Bad news from the Bulls with Boozer to miss 2 months
Jennings made a great performance with double-double and 44 points
The Bucks took a lead at the 1st quarter ,mostly because of the turnovers by the Bulls team. They even had an 6 point lead 27-21 but the Bulls managed to cut down the lead to 2,closing the quarter at 27-25 for the Bucks
At the 2nd quarter the Bulls made a great 10-0 run to take the lead at 41-34 and take over the control of the game.Bucks stroke back ,took the lead, but a last counter by the Bulls made the Half time score 51-52 for the Bulls. At the 2nd quarter both Boozer and Korver had an injury and couldn't play more that period
The game was a battle between Rose and Jennings ,with both having similar stats, with Rose having 19 pts and 4 assists and Jennings with 17 and 3 but slighty better FG%(Rose 57%,Jennings 61%)
At the 3rd,the game didn't change at all.The two teams were changing leads constantly ,untill the bucks, with Jennings scoring two insane 3 pointers, took a 6-point deficit.
Also Boozer ,who had just returned, was forced to go to the bench,as he commited his 4rd.This hapenned with Rose as well ,who commited his 5th foul, but he was habing a great game with 29 points and 6 assists.Bulls had their superstars with foul troubles and looked at the bench for some solutions.
Miller,Korver from the bench and Deng(possibly in his last game,as there are rumors for him being traded for a star SG),made the difference for the Bulls and helped them tie the game and take a lead at the end of the 3rd with the score at 81-84 for the Bulls.
Th 4th quarter though was a different story.Thibodeau risked with playing in Rose and Boozer.Rose was great on the defensive end and made one block and 3 steals at 2 minutes giving a 5 point lead to the Bulls, but he was fouled out 5 minutes before the end.Bulls again looked at the bench and some players made an impressive effort to give the win to the Bulls.Boozer,Deng,Korver and Miller were again the Key players for the Chicago Bulls.
Miller was a solid presence grabbing 9 rebounds,Deng and Korver made some tough baskets and Boozer was too strong for the opposition to deal with.
Noah racked up some clutch baskets and finished it off.
At the other hand,Jennings' impressive effort ,who racked 44 points and recorded a double-double, along with Redd, who was scoring constantly, wasn't enough for the Bucks to take this one
FINAL SCORE:115-127Highlight of the Match

Rose's sky high flight!Millwauke BucksPoints:Jennings(44),Redd(21),Bogut(12)
Rebounds:Bogut(12),Mbah A Mute(8),Sanders(7)
Assists:Jennings(13),Bogut,Sanders(3)
Sidenotes:Jennings double-double,Bogut double-double
Chicago BullsPoints:Rose(31),Boozer,Deng(20),Noah(18),Korver(14)
Rebounds:Miller(9),Boozer,Gibson,Pargo(4)
Assists:Rose(6),Murray,Pargo(4)
Sidenotes:Rose and Boozer commited 10 from the 15 fouls by the Bulls in this match,Bulls were 0/8 from the 3pt line,Bulls made 19 steals and 8 blocks against Bucks' 2 steals and 3 blocks.Korver was 100% from the field
Man Of The Match:Derrick RoseGame Update:Carlos Boozer will be out for 8 weeks after a bone spur on his ankle
Next Game:November 6 vs LA Clippers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Great win,but i would have chosen a lost from an Injury for Boozer.
He will be 2 months out and that it's really bad for me.Hopefully i can cope with that....
But the game was nice and finally Korver played well
Fri Jul 16, 2010 10:10 pm
Unlucky break with Boozer. I've always found it funny how the game assigns bone spurs as an injury though, since they don't occur in an instant like a sprain or tear, or a broken bone. I guess we should assume that the bone spurs were discovered as a result of another injury and subsequently operated upon.

Anyway, good win. Good luck filling in for Boozer, any plans to make a trade or sign someone so you've got an extra body up front while he recovers?
Fri Jul 16, 2010 10:14 pm
It just messes up my plans.I was on the lookout for a SG,but now i may look for a PF as well.
I have Gibson(73 ovrl) and Alexander(76 ovrl) ,but i may sign or trade one and get rid of the one of the 2.Even with Boozer out the situation is better that SG.Murray has 71 ovrl and he's the highest over the others

Bulls - Bobcats Complete deal, Send Hughes to Chicago

The Chicago Bulls and the Charlotte Bobcats made a deal evolving Larry Hughues and Janerro Pargo.
Larry Hughes along with Theo Rattliff will go to the Bulls, while Bulls' Guard Jannerro Pargo and Chris Richard will go the other way.
Bulls gave the 2 mill/1 year contract of Pargo and 230 K/1 year contract of Richard for the 350 K/1 year contract of Hughes and the 1.5 mill/1 year contract of Rattlif.
No draft pick or other elements were involved.
With that trade, the Bulls (re)aquire a good SG solution, who can take a starter position at the current Bulls' squad giving them more option from long range and both sides are hoping for a better season with the Bulls ,than in his 1st try with the team 2 years ago. They also got a better bench solution than Richard,at the face of Rattlif, though he will get very limited minutes as well
The bobcats, will get a reliable back-up at the PG position at the face of Jannero Pargo, and a young player in order to fill their roster,as Richard is.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your Thoughts on the trade?
i believe that this is a solution for the SG as he has nice overall (76) and he's very cheap (320 K)
the other players were in order to make this trade.Rattlif will be on Inactive list, though being better than Richard.
And both will be FAs next season and they will free CAP Space
Fri Jul 16, 2010 11:54 pm
Good trade for you i think you still have a good back up pg in a law and have added a shooter in hughes who i would be tempted to resing in off season with a wage that low, he is on $10M a year in Live 10!
Low risk trade also with both acquisitions coming off contract in the off season, if the roster is similar to the start of the 09/10 season them you should be able to create considerable cap space for the off season with Brad Miller coming off a 10M contract? If not what is this situation for you? I give your trade an A- rating
Unlucky about Boozer, hopefully Gibson can step up to fill in, if not i recommened maybe moving Deng to PF and having Korver start at SF, this may not work if you come up against a good SF Korver can't guard but otherwise it gives you a pair of great shooter in the back court
Sat Jul 17, 2010 12:17 am
Currently i'm only 5 mill over salary cap.So unless the roster won't work well ,i will leave it the same and i will have many FAs.
contracts with a total value of 33 million expire, and except Boozer(12.5 million),all others are replaceable. So i will have around 15 millions for FAs
while Keeping the team young core(Rose,Deng,Noah,Gibson,Johnson) and Law,Alexander as well.

November 3rd
Los Angeles Clippers[2-0] @ Chicago Bulls[2-0]
Bulls Dominate 2nd Half and take the Win behind Rose's 48

With a score of 67-53 at the 2nd half the Bulls won that one by 11 points.Rose had another stellar performance. The injury bug bites again the Bulls as Larry Hughues was forced to leave the field and didn't return
At the 1st quarter the Chicago Bulls had a quick start and the new player of the Bulls-Larry Hughues-was on fire. But Baron Davis was a team on his own and he gave Clippers a 5 point lead. Hughes also got a bad fall at his leg which forced him to leave the field and not return at the game. The worst of lucks for the Bulls,as they lost another player after Boozer. The quarter ended 30-28 for the Clippers
The second quarter was on the same tempo with the Clippers having a slight lead.Rose made his 3rd foul though and then the Clippers created an 11 point lead which was mantained till the end of the half.
But at the 3rd period because of the fantastic defensive job the Bulls' players did,the great work for a second game by the bench of the team ,the 15 points from Rose(who had 17 till that time) and the 4th foul commited by Davis the Bulls created a 1 point lead at the end of the 3rd 86-85.
At the 4th quarter, the Bulls kept the great rythm they had at the end of the 3rd and Rose was having another great game racking up 48 points ,7 rebounds and 9 assists, recording nearly a triple-double.
A really important note though was the great help the bench of the team gave to the starters.Even with Boozer out and Hughues injured at the 1st quarter, the Bulls saw Gibson,Alexander,Korver and Murray playing as great replacements.
From the Clippers side,Baron Davis ,Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman were the best ,with solid presence but couldn't stop the Bulls.
FINAL SCORE:Chicago Bulls- LA Clippers 121-110
Highlight of the Game

Rose with the Fadeaway
Chicago BullsPoints:Rose(48),Noah(18),Deng,Alexander(12)
Rebounds:Noah(9),Rose(7)
Assists:Rose(7)
Sidenotes:Rose near a triple-double,3rd straight 30+ game,2nd game with more than 45 points.Noah nearly a double-double.Great work on the defensive end,12 steals,9 blocks
Los Angeles ClippersPoints:Davis(31),Gordon,Kaman(27)
Rebounds:Kaman(13),Gordon(8),Aminu(7)
Assists:Gordon(7),Davis(5)
Sidenotes:Kaman double-double,Eric Gordon near a triple-double,LAC 41 rebounds in total
MVP of the Match:Derrick Rose
Next Match:November 8th vs Detroit PistonsInjury Update:Larry Hughues out for 10 Days
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice game again, but i'm so unlucky with those injuries !!!!
Hopefully my luck will be back at a later stage
Sat Jul 17, 2010 10:07 am
Larry Hughes back to Chicago? Say it ain't so.

Seriously though, he's a player that tends to pan out a bit better in Live than he has in real life, so not a bad move there. Tough break for him to get injured as well though. Rose just continues to dominate.
Sat Jul 17, 2010 6:56 pm
Injury Update:Carlos Boozer has an estimated time of recover 6 weeks. That means he will be back in the mid of December, 2 weeks earlier than first estimated....
=====================================================================================================
Andrew, His salary was so low, that it was a nonsense at this situation not to get him.I needed a shooter, and he had 6 points with only one missed shot in those 7 minutes he played(he has even better overall the Ben Gordon).
I believe that Rose is the one the team will be based on.I'm really impressed though by the game the bench had in the last 2 games. They played really well.
