I'm not only looking for foreign movies, I just had to have a title, and that was the first one to pop up in my head...
It's form SNL's Celebrity Jeopardy. :)

yep, true (N)

maybe they think that because the ring was so successful the sequels'll be that good, in this case they ain't (N)

Tales has... It's in the first reply

I've been trying to get a hold of that movie for like two months now, but all I ever find is ether with bad qualety, or no subtitles.
I just have to wait for it to be released here in Sweden I guess...

I just saw "In America" and I'm pretty sure that's a foreign flick. It's about an Irish family who moves to New York and befriends an African man who's living in their building. The African man is nominated for "Best Supporting Actor." It takes place in New York, but I'm pretty sure it's classified as a foreign movie.

Also "Veronica Guerin" is really good. It stars Cate Blanchett as Veronica Guerin, an Irish reporter (in Ireland) in the mid-1990s who did extensive reporting on the Irish drug lords. She was killed at the end. It's a true story and I thought that Cate would be nominated for "Best Actress" but I guess not.

I saw "City Of God" in the beginning of 2003... It rocked. I saw it 2 more times since that. Its director, Fernando Meirelles, a famous ads director here in Brazil, was nominated for Best Director Award on this year's Oscar, (Y)

All you Americans, don't lose the chance to see this incredible movie!

Battle royal is great :) It's not a minior movie, many people here in Sweden has seen it. It's realy good.
I heve Battle Royalle on svcd, but I haven't gotten around to watching it yet. I hear that it's not nearly as good as the first one. Has anybody see it?

By the way, I forgot about an movie earlier

Now look, can I also suggest movies in Hindi? (Indian) We have some of those, I'm sure Hotshot would have some suggestions too. Most of the DVD's have english subtitles now days anyway.

Reviving an old toppic as always awsome...

Last night I saw Cidade de Deus (Gods City). It was realy awsome.
I still don't understand how they weren't Oscar-nominated.
I recomend everyone to see it... It's truly an amazing film.

Last week; I also saw Battle Royale 2.
I was expecting a big dissapointment. But that did not happen.
I expected it to be a movie living of it's predesesor. And it was to some exctent. Not so much, but it still had a lot of stuff from the first one.
But it was a nice movie anyway. Not in the same scince as the last one. A different approach and story-line.
It's a nice movie. But not nearly as great as Battle Royale 1.

I also saw Rushmore. I know it's not a foreign flick, but whatever. It was a realy nice movie. I recomend this one strongly.

Yea. The sound-track is great

I haven't heard of: rashomon, the seventh seal, grand illusion not american graffitti... :?

I'v been meaning to see Seven Samurais for like 2 years now. Never got around to do it though. Is it realy that good?
Never realy got Vertigo... I didn't realy understand what's so great about it. It's a rather nice movie and all, but not as great as most people say it is.
I don't realy like Schindlers List either for some reason. It was made to politicaly correct (or Hollywoodised if you like)...
