What if Derek Fisher throws his elbows again? (Last year on Luis Scola).

Fish is not a bad guy. He is however getting up there in age and his days are numbered. Experience can not replace youth up to a certain point. Fish has to do some hollywood acting and go to his bad of tricks.
That's what players do when they start to get old.
KG for example, bitches a bit more at his old age. Remember his elbow swings too. KG was going trying to clear more room for his fallen teammate. Yes, of course.

you could probably post a video of every single player in the nba doing something dirty, some players just do it far too often

Do all NBA players elbow someone who's about to set a screen on them?

I think they're going to go down in flames if he has to hoist that many shots per game. Against a team like Boston you'd have to think he's going to have to be as economic a scorer as possible (not to mention more of a faux-point guard).
The way he's been playing since he got his knee drained, I think they'd be fine though there's certainly the potential for disaster. As great as he is, Kobe has demonstrated the ability to shoot the Lakers out of the game when he's determined to prove a point even when the game isn't going his way.

I have a better question:
Do all NBA players elbow their opponents in the face after the get scored on?Answer:
No, it's only Sasha Vujacic getting pissed off @ Goran Dragic or whoever else may score on him in this upcoming series.

You guys are all sissies. An elbow is nothing but a love tap.

That's why it's crucial for Bynum to come out and put in some good minutes and reward the Lakers with the faith they are putting on him and his knee.
Yeah, I agree that Odom is that guy for the Lakers, but they still don't have that fourth guy to roll out there for ten minutes. I haven't seen much of Josh Powell since he was in college at NC St, but I don't see why he doesn't see much court time. He's a big body who can be out there long enough to make a small impact, even if it's only giving Gasol/Bynum a rest.
I guess to compare it to the Pistons back in 04, they had a big guy that could play a good amount of minutes (Okur) and another to just throw out there for a few here and there (Elden Campbell, not to mention Corliss Williamson was probably the true fourth "big" guy). Even recently, those 08 Celtics had Powe, Davis, Brown; the 07 Spurs had Duncan, Oberto, Elson, Bonner, not very good of course, but still enough big bodies to throw out there. I think the Lakers should utilize Powell a little bit, just so they have some sort of post player in that second unit.
Sit wrote:Is he still the glory hunting ball hog or will he be the team playing champion who can help carry the team when needed and not force the issue?
I don't think he's a glory hunter per say, but I think he convinces himself that if his teammates aren't hitting than he HAS to take over and do it all. He hasn't been doing that recently, so maybe that's a sign of things to come, but as you said, if he's not hitting he has to see this and start to make better decisions. I would just hope that he, as a passer, gets his teammates the ball in their spots so he doesn't have to try and play Mr. Bail Out all series.

i never said all players throw an elbow i said you can probably post a video of any player doing something dirty at some point, even the best mannered players will at times do something dirty
Thu Jun 03, 2010 11:36 pm
examples...???
Fri Jun 04, 2010 1:16 am
i aint gonna go post any damn videos i will leave that to whoever really gives a shit. my point is one video does not make someone a dirty player
Fri Jun 04, 2010 1:19 am
You're right, KG is a dirty player without all the videos.
Down with the Celtics I says. Down!!
Fri Jun 04, 2010 1:24 am
dont worry jackal the lakers will have the refs to bail them out for a game or 2 so the celtics wont beat the shit out of the lakers too bad.

Sorry if some people can't get it outright Sauru. Just bear with the forums for now, after all some of them can be quite slow and stupid to realize your point. Please don't leave us.

let it out in a different thread.
It's a good thing more people are voting for Celtics, but I'm one of the two people so far who think this is going to a Game 7! I don't think LA is going to be taken down in five or six, but I think 7 will do it.
Fri Jun 04, 2010 10:01 am
The winners really are his posse, just in case a brawl breaks out or something.

Lakers will win if Kobe does his best MJ impersonation. I wanna see tongue wagging, screaming at the refs, and a couple of those backpedalling fist pumps. After all, apparently Kobe is the best at mimicking MJ's mannerisms.
Fri Jun 04, 2010 10:10 am
I voted the last option for no reason whatsoever

.
With that said, for whatever reason I actually have started to not hate the Celtics as much this season for whatever reason. Though not enough that I still want the Lakes to win this in 7 games. However, realistically I think Boston will once again take this in 6.

Don't forget punching teammates in practice. Kobe hasn't punched one in years since Samaki Walker.
