Playing 2k10 online

As much as i love this game and i really do love it but why oh why is playing online so terrible ?

I really fancy joining a sim league but the lag playing online is just so off putting for me , i can beat the cpu on HOF , hit free throws and stay with my man but online with the split second lag iam skating all over the court and it makes shooting free throws a fine art and just flat out puts me off playing.

Is it just me ? is it just my connection or does anyone else suffer like i do ?

It's 2K's servers, but I haven't experienced some serious skating all over the court yet but it sucks to play @ 10-15 fps tops.
