They'd have to have a pretty shitty coaching staff to not adjust to the zone.

Oh wait, this isn't Boston we're talking about.

hardly home cooking. even a questionable charge was called on Amar'e

still waiting on Frye to show up but when Lopez is playing like how he did last nite

as the great Charles Barkley said- the series gets under way if the home team lose... though it would be a big disappointment for lala to come up empty in PHX after trouncing them in the 1st 2 games

There was a quote from Gentry where Nash said he's Canadian, and he has to play tough or he'd lose his citizenship.

Read that too. Something about relating hockey to basketball.

Well, he has a broken nose now as well... thought it was a bit comical that he was playing with his nose after he got hit by Fisher's head late in the game. That would hurt.

I wonder if he's going to get any more hurt in the series...

Kill Steve Nash

I wondered whether he'd broken his nose when I saw him doing that. Rough postseason for Nash, if playoff basketball is about playing through pain for a chance at glory, I think he's fulfilled his quota of bumps and bruises.

No way...
I Can't watch the game at nba.com. "unavailable on your area" or something... :(

Tied @ the end of first quarter. We need to see a lot more threes from J-Rich, like the one in the last couple minutes of the quarter! If he can score big for the Suns, it could mean more victories! (Y)

Channing's fryenally shooting the ball well (he was due) and naturally they have a small lead at the half. Here's hoping the Suns keep it up

Loving this one, that was an awesome shootout in the second quarter with the crowd really getting into it. Hoping that the second half is just as fun to watch and yes, that the Suns can take this one and really make it a series. Looks like Frye's finally got his confidence and his shot back.

Indeed. Hopefully this and last night are a sign of things to come for the rest of the post-season.

Re: (1) Lakers Vs. (3) Suns

So far so good, though the Suns are making some careless turnovers and taking a few bad shots. Amar'e blew four free throws too.

C'mon Suns. :(

Derek Fisher is going to get killed by the fans if he makes a hard foul on Steve Nash one more time. Or Robin Lopez is going to break his face like he breaks training room doors.

Suns are actually playing very good defense.

Re: (1) Lakers Vs. (3) Suns

Suns appear to be finishing strong, the Lakers aren't out of it yet though. That drive by Dragic was incredible, it seemed like he was barely in control but it didn't seem to matter.

Re: (1) Lakers Vs. (3) Suns

Wed May 26, 2010 1:37 pm

All tied up, we've got ourselves a series. If the Suns want to have any chance of winning, they need to take Game 5 in LA and finish it off at home in Game 6. I still see the Lakers coming out of the West though and I'd certainly like their chances in a Game 7 at home.

In addition to having the best offense, the Suns seem to have the best bench in NBA history. Totally outplayed the starters.

Suns hugely out rebounded the Lakers.
Good to see Frye shooting with confidence.

DAMN! Once again, I underestimated the Suns and thought the series was over when it was 2-0. Great job, tying the series at 2 a piece.

Agreed. Don't you guys see little bit of Manu in Dragic? This kid looks promising.

Great third quarter with Kobe (damn) going on a streak halfway. A lot of threes in the quarter too and I was like "what the hell are they thinking?"

I love the Suns' bench mob (Dudley fan since his BC days) as much as anyone else but don't get ahead of yourself, e.g. I wouldn't take these 5 over the '83 Celtics bench (Rick Robey, Kevin McHale, Scott Wedman, Gerald Henderson & Tiny Archibald).

Great to see Suns stepping up & hopefully they can keep it rolling come game 5.

Suns is not breaking out. Glad to see. BTW, Frye had a nice game. So I saw Kobe is defeatable despite his scoring system.

Re: (1) Lakers Vs. (3) Suns

Thu May 27, 2010 2:54 am

It's odd that the Lakers cant seem to beat the zone, the shots from outside were falling which kept the score within range but the big men of LA have become a non factor due to them not being able to find the lanes in the zone.

I'm hoping Gasol is a bit more assertive in the next game. An amazing shooting performance by Bryant, he was hitting shots left & right. Some of the three's he took were way out there. Ron Artest hasnt been much of a factor in this series either, just another body on the floor. I feel the worst for Andrew Bynum, to be barked at like that from Phil Jackson after that one play where he let Amar'e just drive by whilst being injured...I've got respect for the big man. He's a step slow though, it's painful watching him limping around out there.

Odom had two strong games then disappeared again. He seemed quite passive in the last two games, his facial expression and posture said enough when he first checked in.

Oh well, back to LA we go.

Re: (1) Lakers Vs. (3) Suns

I'm more surprised how the Lakers can't even keep the Suns down under 100 for once in the series. I thought, the Lakers' defense would give PHX problems, with twin towers, and Kobe/Artest roaming around the perimeter and PHX isn't a big team.

Speaking of which, for all 4 games of the WCF both teams have had 100+ points in each game, while in the ECF, neither team has reached the 100 point mark yet.
