TAJ GIBSON Headlines All-Rookie First Team

In a nod towards sanity, Taj Gibson has beaten out DeJuan Blair, James Harden and Yi Jianlian to land a spot on the All-Rookie first team, along with Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings and Darren Collison. Second team is made up of Blair, Harden, Marcus Thornton, Jonny Flynn and Jonas Jerebko.

Slightly ridiculous to not see Ty Lawson make either team.

DaJuan Blair is a far better player than Taj Gibson. Jonny Flynn receiving any kind of commendation (and over Ty Lawesome at that!) is atrocious.

Good for Gibson, thought he'd probably make the second team at least but didn't think he'd get in on the first team. Very surprised to see Lawson not only not make the cut for either team, but finish tied for fourth amongst the other rookies who received votes and without a single first team vote while Toney Douglas and Jrue Holiday received one first team vote apiece.

This class was all sorts of awesome.

I love that there are three second round picks (Jerebko, Blair, Thornton) on the second team.
