Mike Patton could be posting here...

Do you guys know Mike Patton? He was the lead singer of a band called Faith No More, which had a lot of sucess during the mid-90s. He quite created what we call today the "nu-metal", which I don't like, and bands like Limp Bizkit and Linkin' Park and Korn and so many others copied Faith No More to death...

I bought last week, a music magazine here in Brazil, called Revista Zero ("Zero Magazine", which site is www.revistazero.com.br), and there is a Mike Patton interview somewhere in there.

He says he loves the NBA, and playing basketball games on the computer... Could we have a famous person postin' here on the forum? Are you there Mike?

Yeah I know Faith no More, my bro gotta a real good CD with them, only remember right now the song "Epic", but they changed singer later didn't they? Bloody Cool if he was posting here :)

Yeah, "Epic" is from Faith No More's most popular album, "The Real Thing"... They didn't change lead singers after Patton came in... The band split in 1997 I think. Before Patton, they had many lead singers, even chick Courtney Love (Kurt Cobain's wife) was the lead singer at one time...

Tony is a big fan of this kind of music... Where is he? I'd like to hear from him...

He doesn't post at NLSC general talk.

I remember Faith No More. My dad gave me a 'best of' CD of theirs. (Y)

I think Patton made another band called "Mr. Bungle". They play some weird stuff...nobody knows em.

Slam Harder, was it "I Started a Joke", Bee Gees' cover?

Mon Feb 09, 2004 5:16 pm

Nah, I'm pretty sure it dosen't have that title, anyway I didn't say what instrument I could on but it's offcourse guitar
Anyway in the beginning of the song it's guitar, bass and choir and a bit piano, also the singer (no Mike, the new one) is more like whispering than singing in the beginning
