XBOX 360 Controller not found

Hi im new to this forum,

i bought nba 2k10 today on steam. i installed it and my xbox360 controller for windows (wired) doesnt work in it
in the controller settings i only see mouse/keyboard and no button works.
i tried everything, and i am not a pc noob...the controller works in every other game.

it is detected alright by windows.

my system is windows 7 x32.

please help me i wanna play that game!

when the game first starts up, when Kobe is on the screen, try pressing Start or something on the controller to start the game instead of pressing enter.


If that doesnt work try 2k support or joy2key.

i have tried that, nothing happens. no button works but the light in the middle of the controller is on.

i even deleted my profile and tried from a new beginning

the game supports that controller and no one got that problem, cant believe that. 20€ for nothing...

well if it is working in other games I honestly dont know why it isnt working in 2k10

you can try installing XBCD 360 drivers for it, or maybe even reinstall the official 360 drivers


but this is something that steam or 2k support should be able to help you with, this is the first time I've heard of anyone having this issue

I know you've tried before but try these again.

Try plugging your controller before you start the game, make sure that the light in the controller is on.
Load the game, once the game loads, do what Jao suggested (pressing Start). If that does nothing wait for it to load to Kobe and then press Enter.
Delete the other profiles and create a new one. Exit game.
Load the game again and press Start.

If that is still doesn't work, I 'm out of suggestions.
