Question sir, is there any way to delete a team?
Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:46 pm
You can remove teams from the database by deleting their row of data using MS Excel or OpenOffice, but generally speaking I would advise against doing so as it often causes problems.
Why do you want to delete a team? There may be another workaround for what you want to do that's less likely to cause a problem with the databases.

can I use DBF commander in deleting ?

No. And as I said, it's generally not a good idea to delete teams in the first place.

yh why are you deleting teams?

187_MK, because i've created my own team and i was bored and i decided to delete it and create another one
Andrew, so sir what do you recommend to me if i want to create another and delete the other one?

easiest way...
use the teams.dbf and teamgear.dbf u had BEFORE u created ur team
(that is the delete part)
with the new (original) teams.dbf and teamgear.dbf create the new team u want to have now
then just edit the players.dbf accordingly for the players u want on that team (also removing the players from the 1st created team)...unless u are using the same team ID then theres no need change anything in the players.dbf

As KidJustin said, one very easy way would be to restore from a backup before you created the team. If you only created the one team, you can use the original teams.dbf file or one from the roster patch of your choice.
Otherwise, you could simply just change the data for team you've created to the new one you want to replace them with. Deleting that row of data just to add a new one is only adding an extra step so don't delete it, just change it to the new team's data. Old team gone, new team in.

What will happen when I delete a row?
Thu Apr 29, 2010 5:54 pm
Again, you do not need to delete anything. You want to take out a team you've created and replace it with another one, so all you need to do is change the data for your existing custom team as necessary (names, abbreviations, the lot). If you delete the row of data for the old team, you're just going to have to add a new one for the new team which is pointless and a waste of time when you can just use the existing one you created for the old team, and change the data accordingly.

question....... how to delete jersey?
Fri Apr 30, 2010 9:51 am
Same method as described above - highlight a row and delete it using MS Excel or OpenOffice - only you're working with teamgear.dbf instead of teams.dbf. So long as you're not leaving a team without a default home and away jersey, that can be done safely providing you save in the correct format (.dbf).

one more question, how to save it?
Fri Apr 30, 2010 5:46 pm

how can i save it when there's no pdf format in excel

what should i do?
Sat May 01, 2010 12:11 pm
Excel 2003 should allow you to save in dbf (not pdf) format; the type is listed as DBF 4 (dBASE IV) (*.dbf)
