Good luck with this dynasty. If I was to choose
any team from the east, I would choose the
wizards as well because there's so many
different directions you can go with this team.

So far the presentation is nice. I look forward
to seeing what your recaps are like :)

i just sub Foye with Livingston, and it turns out good. Duhon and House guarded him late in the first quarter but still he scored 8. that's why i used him every quarter.. my pg's (boykins, foye and livingston) outnumbered their pg's (duhon and house). :)

Tough loss. The Wizards are a hard team to use with Gilbert. Nice recap, though Live 08 has awful graphics.

yes, live 08 has awful graphics. bobcats' jersey is shinning while i'm playing.. it's hard to play them. i just can't go to howard every time as our go to guy, my other players need to step up. but i'm having fun and i'm loving the wizards. many of the players will be unrestricted free agent after the season, i might trade them early or let them consume the team's salary and hope for a good spot at draft. thank you for the comment sir lamrock and sir thierry. i'm happy to see you guys read my not-so-good dynasty. :)

Miller's late buckets help the Wizards escape Magic
(boxscore)

WASHINGTON -- Mike Miller's late baskets help the Washington Wizards beat the Orlando Magic via 105-93 victory at the Verizon Center.

"Coach said to me that don't hesitate to shoot if I'm open. Luckily my shots went in." said Mike Miller who was a former Magic.

Miller led the Wizards (2-3) after finishing 20 points on 15 minutes of playing. Shaun Livingston was named Player of the Game who finished with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Despite of having 2/11 in the field, he manages to convert 10 of his 12 free throws. Most of them was from Vince Carter.

Dwight Howard led all the scorers with 26 points and 14 rebounds for the Orlando Magic (3-2). But was controlled by the Wizards bigmen, limiting him to a 11/31 shooting.

Coach Flip Saunders shuffled the starting line-ups. Starting Javale McGee and Andray Blatche on Center and Power Forward position to match Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis, moving Josh Howard and Shaun Livingston to match Vince Carter and Jameer Nelson, and putting Al Thorton against Matt Barnes.

"I tried this line-up in practice and they had a good chemistry and energy. Let's see if they can bring that energy against Magic." said Saunders on a pre-game interview.

The game was close early in the first quarter until Magic take the lead 14-9 with 5:28 remaining behind Ryan Anderson's four quick points. The Magic controlled the quarter, outnumbered the Wizards on rebounds 19-8. Wizards can't stop Dwight Howard who had 10 points and 6 rebounds on the opening quarter. After the first quarter the Magic leads by eight, 30-22.

At the start of the second quarter, the Wizards rallied earlier. Scoring 8 quick points with a span of 54 seconds behind Shaun Livingston and Nick Young that tied the game 30-all. The Wizards got the momentum early on that made the fans on Verizon Center cheering for them. But Magic made a 7-2 run to take a five point lead 37-32 that silences the crowd. Both teams traded buckets that tied them again at 43-all, 2:40 on the clock. But with a solid effort from the Wizards' Bench, they got the lead after the first half, 51-47.

"Oh. They checked me a lot. Coach Stan said that let me do the work but everytime I got the ball they immidiately double team me." Dwight Howard said at the Halftime Interview who only got 5 points and 2 rebounds in the second quarter. "We'll see what Coach Stan plans."

The third quarter was a intense battle between the teams, the Wizards' running game against Dwight Howard's power. Changing basket after basket until 6:00 mark. But the Magic can't stop the running game of the Wizards which made them trailing by six points 65-59 with 4:19 on the clock. The Wizards dominated the game until the end of the third quarter, leading them by five, 71-66.

Entering the fourth quarter, the Wizards still keep their running game even though some of the players are tired. Coach Saunders rotate the roster wisely to keep their running game. The Magic closed the gap into three 83-80 with 5:34 remaining on the clock. But Mike Miller's hot hands made the Wizards to again by nine 100-91 that gave them the win.
