Thinking about getting a Dynasty going again

I vote for Idea number 3.

Kind of leaning towards it, but we'll see.

I think you should go with a Live 10 dynasty, and if you don't want to use the Bulls, I would suggest the Rockets, nobody on here has a Rockets dynasty.

The Rockets don't really interest me to be honest, but thanks for the suggestion all the same.

Try the Wizards, edit Gilbert Arenas to 0 if you have to, and use their current squad. Starting with team in a rebuilding phase is usually more interesting to read, imo.

I'm not too high up on the Wizards but that could be an interesting challenge. I'll think about that too.

#3 definitely sounds the most fun and logical as you already have 15 pgs of HoF foundation to build from, plus most people like seeing the newer Live's for the cool screenshots and graphics anyway, whereas your strength has primarily been graphics-lite with the use of strong text-based storytelling to create the atmosphere and cover both team/league goings on.

Andrew, I just had a quick look at last few pages of your Bulls dynasty. Brings back great memories of Kemp winning a title with the Bulls! Simming up to the third or even fourth season and starting from there would be awesome.

But whichever you choose, I shall be following.

Go with 2k10 and Heats. You can't go wrong with them.

Out of your options, I like the #2.

I like #2 or #3. At least the gameplay is acceptable.

I'd like to see you use 06. I think it makes a better dynasty.

I still like the idea of starting a game with the Clippers. If you use updated rosters on 06 you could have a chance to sign a big FA 2nd season.
I can only imagine them signing LeBron and what that would mean in terms of the rivalry: Lakers vs Clippers, Kobe vs LeBron.
I might have a go with that later on myself actually.

Clippers might be an interesting change of pace. Even if I don't go with it as a "main" Dynasty, I might try a sim Dynasty with them or set up a scenario for others to download.

Yeah, sim the first season. Maybe even get a good draft pick if the sim is realistic.

Oh, I'd be very surprised if NBA Live 06's sim engine is kind to the current Clippers.

The sheer amount of sim engine quirks in NBA Live 10 is pretty much giving NBA Live 06 the win here. Like I said a decision is coming soon, so stay tuned.

Might as well go with a PC project dynasty, right?
