I want to re-install the game without deleting 'My Player'

How can I do that? What file should I backup for this one to work?

I would just backup the whole "Saves" folder. You can get to this by typing "%appdata%\2K Sports\NBA 2K10" this will then save any rosters, associations, replays, ect too.

to make it simple click start menu and then press "R"... then type %appdata% .... the My Player file is .CMG

Ah! There is no 2K Sports in there!
