Gm Jeff Bower has an annoucement to the fans and the media

http://hornetshype.com/wp/wp-content/up ... 080201.jpg

Jb:I have an announcement to make, sometime during this season or in the offseason i'm going to trade our star player Chris paul who is very unhappy with our team right now.

Chris Paul
http://305fins.files.wordpress.com/2009 ... paper5.jpg

Cp:Sir, I love the city of New orleans but i have to leave, i want to be traded to a championship team, perferabally in the eastern conference. I'd like to be on a team where i can be a leader and run the show, folks i'm sorry i have to go but i want to win, once again i'm sorry.

Jb:Yes, you heard it from the horses mouth folks we've decided to go in another direction, I'm going to build our team around our young rookie point gaurd Deron Collison, I also may involve Peja Stoyakovic in this deal as well and get a superstar center or something, i haven't decided yet, but before the trade deadline in febuary this trade may take place. Do you have any more to say Chris?

Cp:Yes sir, i appreciate all that you've done for me here in trying to build this team around me but i'm so hungry for a championship, and i want to win one now, the only way i want to stay is if you bring a superstar that's my calliber to this team

Jb:Again Chris, no matter what we do, you have to be traded, i'm sorry chris, but i'd like to thank you and the community would like to thank you for your loyal to the team and the community.

Cp:You;re welcome.

In a stunning upset the new orleans hornets won at boston 94 to 93, there were four key players for each team.

Stoyakovic-21 points 7 rebounds
Peterson-20 points 7 rebounds
6th man-Thornton 7 points
_______________________

Boston

Pierce-30 points 7 rebounds
Garnett-14 points 8 rebounds
Allen-13 points 3 steals
6th man-Robinson 7 points

Comments from Gm as he addresses the media:

Gm:Wow! What can i say you know? Chris Paul played extremely well against one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the eastern conference and perhaps the entire league. And I guess Chris Paul is trying to stay here in new orleans and keep his job because he scored big, 25 points for this new orleans team, if Paul keeps leading this team to victory over teams like this on the road, then maybe i have to rethink my strategy here. Whether Chris Paul will be traded or not, i'm not sure, but there will be a trade before or by the trade deadline, in face i have redecided that instead of trading Stoyakovic, I believe i'll trade Morris Peterson and James Posey possibly for a center, and maybe i'll sign a small forward.
____________________
I'm trying to bring some more offense to this team particular players who can shoot threes, i'd like to have a younger small forward and a better backup shooter to Marcus Thornton who will probably be starting, if we're able to trade Morris Peterson; i'd like to make a 3 for two deal involving Peterson and Posey and Aaron Gray maybe for a couple of players, i don't know whom i'm going to trade them to, maybe boston or somebody since they have roster space.

Gm:I have found a player that that i would really like to have, i know i would have to give up a lot to get him. His name is Dwayne Wade, i would love to have this guy on my team so we can have a great shooting gaurd who can shoot and dunk, i know that he'll be a free agent soon but i believe that we can resign him, and who knows, maybe we'll win an nba title this year or next year when Wade becomes a free agent.

Dwayne Wade

Http://www.thesportstruth.com/wp-conten ... e-wade.jpg

Coach:Sir, who would you like to trade for him?

Gm:Well, I'm sorry i have to say this and as well as he has played it will have to Chris Paul in a two for one deal that will hopefully also involve if the cap space isn't too far apart, Morris Peterson, i'm pretty sure they'll be glad to get a shooting gaurd in return and on top of that one of the top 3 point gaurds in the league and i will also add a first round pick in the trade just to be fair, because i'm not in a rebuilding mode here. I want to win now so, that's why i'm getting wade, and i will also try to get a couple of veterans, i don't think i'll trade Stoyakovic because he's a decent three point shooter, although he's not as good as he use to be.

Coach:Sir, don't you think we need a decent or better back up then Aaron Gray?

Gm:Hm, good point, I have decided if i'm going to trade him or not, i really don't want to because i want my two assistants to develop him. I can assign my offensive assistant to develop his offense. I want him to be a very good inside scoring big man; so i don't think i will trade him, but he is a free agent this year, and i'm hoping we can resign him.

Coach What are you going to do in this year's rookie draft?

Gm:Well, if i can't resign Aaron Gray then i'll draft a center, i'd like to have a 7'1 center.

Coach:Are you going to do anything when the free agent period comes?

Gm:Yes, i'm going to sign a point gaurd since we'll definitely need a backup to Chris Paul, because most likely he will be traded, because i'm sure that there are a lot of teams who would love to have Paul, especially if we can't get Wade, and if we can't I may make an attempt to get Andrew Bynum and then, we would have two centers who would be two very good defenders.

Coach:One last thing sir, what are we going to work on during training camp?

Gm:I think it'll be a variety of things but mostly offense and athletics, and during the season i want our team's defense to improve through proper training.

Coach:Ok sir, i see what your plan is, so, in the offseason you want a center, a shooting gaurd in a Chris Paul trade and a point gaurd to backup Deron Collinson, am i correct?

Gm:Yes.

Coach:Ok sir, i'll try and coach this team to an nba championship this year, hopefully we'll make at least to the western conference finals.

Gm:Good, i'll be watching, i'll see ya.

Coach:See ya!

____________________
I've only simulated one game so far and i'll only do box scores of one game per week, i'm done with my other dynasty stories and i'll be sticking to this one, i was trying to find a team with a combination of veterans and young players so i can win now and build for the future and have some good trading options, i really want to trade Chris Paul For Dwayne Wade but i don't know how yet, but if you have any suggestions then feel free to post them if you want. I have Deron Collins and i don't really need to great point gaurds at the same position, and i don't really want my point gaurd to be the team leader, i want a shooting gaurd to be the leader because that's what the old bulls had and it worked well for them, more updates coming soon, oh yeah one more thing, i really hate to give my first round pick up as well because i love four year players.

Re: Too many bench points by Head and Watson

Postby Cleveland wins on Tue Mar 09, 2010 9:12 am

In the sports section of the New orleans newspaper it says, too many bench points by Luther Head and Earl Watson of the Indiana pacers as the pacers route the hornets 111 to 104. Danny Granger chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds while Troy Murphy dropped 22 points and 7 rebounds. It seems like the pacers big men were doing most of the work for the pacers starting lineup while Luther Head came off the bench with 11 points and Earl Watson scored 10 points.
For the hornets well, it was Chris Paul as usual leading the way with 24 points and 9 assists, Stoyakovic gave the team 18 points and David West contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds. There were rumors flying around the hornets front office about trading Chris Paul, but there was a trade attempt made by the hornets. The hornets offered this trade, Wright and Peterson for Nene! That would have been unfair for Denver and its no wonder why the nuggets rejected the proposal. I think the hornets should have offered Okafor in a deal along with Wright for Nene, that would have helped both teams, short and long term. Both Nene and Okafor can play defense, but at least there was one transaction, the hornets signed a young gaurd that they plan on developing by the name of Terance Kinsey.

Terance Kinsey
http://willfranklin.files.wordpress.com ... nseycp.jpg

There are a few things that our team needs, first we need another star scorer at the center position, we need more rebounding and we need more bench points. If the hornets front office can add these pieces to our team, then there's no telling what our team can do, mr. Bower! Are you reading this colum?! I don't care if we played on the road at Indiana, we should have won! Indiana isn't a playoff team this year, we are, we will make the playoffs, especially if we get another star player that can run with Chris Paul! So in my final words Mr. Jeff Bower, bring in some more talent! But please, do not trade our beloved Chris Paul!

A Chris Paul interview:

Image

Reporter:Chris, do you think that you'll be traded?
Cp:I hope not, i don't think i will be, hey, i played well in our first couple of games averaging 20 plus points so, that should convince the owner not to trade me.
Reporter:How are you and Mr.Bower getting along?
Cp:Our relationship is going very well, in fact i met his family and spent some time with him and his family, i love Mr.Bower and this team and the city of New Orleans. I don't understand why Mr.Bower wants to trade me, i don't want to leave.
Reporter:Recently there's been a trade attempt made by the hornets organization, the trade involved Julian Wright and Morris Peterson for Nene, how would you like to have Nene on this team?
Cp:I would love it! Nene brings total defense, he has the abilities of a good defense gaurd, meaning he can steal, and he can block from time to time. I love Nene he can play very good defense, plus his rebounding skills would give us second chance opportunities to score, i love his abilitity to rebound.
Reporter:What would you do if you were traded? And what team would you like to be traded to if you have to be traded?
Cp:Well, if i have to be traded then Denver would be a great place for me to play, although i'd probably be the backup to Chauncy Billups unless they trade Billups as well in exchange for me, which i think would be stupid. Other teams i wouldn't mind playing for would be for Lebron James and the Cavaliers and the Lakers. For your other question, what would i do if i were traded? I'd be very sad to leave my favorite city, new orleans! I love this town! Are there any more questions?.....

The reporters have no more questions, Chris Paul gets in his Mercedez and drives away, there are some questionable trade ideas going around with this team, will they trade Chris Paul? Why would you want a veteran who's almost on his way to retirement in Chauncy Billups insteal of a young superstar who could grow to be a better all around player in Cp3? Will the hornets get another star big man? We'll just have to find out later in the season during febuary and the trade dealine.

I considered it for half a second, one reason why i considered it is because of our rookie point gaurd Deron Collinson, this is a guy who i want to see starting sometime. But i've decided not to trade Paul, but i still want to make a trade with the nuggets because i love Nene, or if not the nuggets some other team, but i do want a better center than Okafor. If i did make the trade for Billups, which i won't, Billups would come off the bench, because i want to see what Collinson can do.

In our next game it was New Orleans hornets defeated the houston rockets 127 to 93! Chris Paul was leading the way once again with 35 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Stoyakovic added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists; Stephen Jackson played well for the hornets as he went 2-4 and added 10 points. Posey and Kinsey combined for 25 points off the bench!
For houston, well, it didn't look so good at all offensively, Ming chipped in 16 points and Aaron Brooks popped in 14 points.

There was a trade between the bobcats and the hornets, the hornets sent Morris Peterson and Ike Diogu, (Diogu who is a free agent this year) to the bobcats for Stephen Jackson!

Rip-off deal. And it's nice you have pictures, but don't just copy random pics you find on google. Re-size them, make sure they're the same size.

Thanks, but i don't know how to resize them, i'm still learning the ropes, you're right about the rip off deal but hey, i've been sent trade proposals that would have ripped me off too many times by the cpu to even care. But my next trades if i do make any more, i'll try to make it more realistic, but how do you change the size of the pictures? I guess i should have added a draft pick in that trade though, but i just couldn't decide who elese to let go from my team that would have matched the salaries, usually i try to help the cpu.

Possible blockbuster trade involving the hornets and the heat

Announcement by the gm of a possible the possible trade proposal

Gm:We are in desperate need of a talented, young athletic shooting gaurd who can play defense. We are going to offer Chris Paul and Marcus Thornton to the heat for Dwayne Wade. We want our go to guy to be a shooting gaurd, we know that next summer that Wade will be a free agent, hopefully we can resign him. We would like to have a team like the bulls did of the 90's, you see they had a shooting gaurd and a small forward and you see how well that worked for them. I want our main scoring to come from the outside, i want this team to be a fast break outside and finesse team.

Media:Why though would you want to get rid of our beloved star Chris Paul?

Gm:Well, besides from what i said, we also have a rookie point gaurd in Deron Collinson, and i would love to see what he can do for this team. He doesn't get much playing time behind Paul, and he's been asking me coach, "Please give me more playing, i would like to start". So, instead of putting Paul on the bench, the best thing that i can think of is just to trade him, speaking of Paul here he comes.

Media:Chris, what do you think about what the gm is going to do as he is going to attempt to trade you to the heat?

Cp:Well, what can i say? I've done everything for this team and the city, i hate to leave, but if the gm has other ideas for this team, so beat it.

Media:What do you think about possibly heading to the sunshine state?

Cp:I would love it there, there's lots of action and i love the warm weather and i would still be close to new orleans. On top of that i'd still be the team leader, and i have good complementary players around me whom i can pass the ball to such as Jermaine Oneal and Michael Beasely, two great players. And personally i'd love to work with Beasely who's a nice young player like myself, a player who i can run the floor with on a fast break.

Gm:If that's all the questions then i must go and take care of business and send that proposal to the heat as soon as possible.

The gm and Chris Paul leave the media, the media trys to follow them while taking pictures and still trying to ask questions but the gm and Chris Paul just ignores them.

Trade accepted between the Hornets and the Hawks! Good news for hornets fans, Cp3 is staying home! He won't be traded, the rumors and speculations about Chris Paul being traded to the heat have ended. Why? Because there was no possible trade that could have taken place, the gm of the hornets has tried everything, but the heat wouldn't accept it. But on the positive side, Cp3 has another running mate; the hornets have traded sharp shooter Stephen Jackson and Sean Marks to the Atlanta Hawks for Jamal Crawford.
Bother Crawford and Jackson are very similar players indeed says the hornets gm, Jackson is a good all around shooter and possible 6th man of the year, but so is Jamal crawford. Gm Bower says, "I think both teams, the hornets and the hawks got a fair deal, because i think Crawford and Jackson are a lot alike. Although Jackson was a starter for both the bobcats and this hornets team, but Crawford was a backup and possible 6th man of the year! So while we get a former backup in Crawford, the hawks get a guy who has always started on just about every team, at least recently. Jackson started on the warriors, bobcats which he played very well for and now he's our starting shooting gaurd".
Roster:
Centers-Okafor and Gray
Power forwards-West, Songolia and Wright
Small Forwards-Stoyakovic and Posey
Shooting gaurds-Crawford, Kinsey and thornton
Point gaurds-Paul and Collinson
________________________________
The hornets are now 7-2 and this week we have won 2 out of three so far and two of those games were road games, one of them against the detroit pistons. That'll probably be all the trades for this year until possibly the offseason, this team need a star shooting gaurd who's a good all around offensive player, that means, one who can shoot from midrange, three point land and good offensive awareness, and i think we have that in Jamal crawford, this hornets team if it keeps playing well offensively could make it to the western conference finals, the playoffs will be a 1 game sudden death matchup.

Postby Cleveland wins on Mon Mar 15, 2010 4:55 am

Possible offseason transactions and a possible big man being traded

In the offseason we'll draft a big man first, whether it be a center or a power forward, then we'll try to make a trade with the raptors if they have roster space or with the lakers if they do. We want a defensive stopper at the power forward position so we'll probably end up trading our starting forward David West and our 1st round rookie for either Paul Casol or Chris Bosh, it doesn't matter to me which one we get because they can both play defense; and that's what we need more of to make our team even better for next season.
We crave to have a great defensive team next season so during training camp we'll focus mainly on our teams defensive skills. Imagine our starting lineup if we can pull this trade through. Center-Okafor, power forward Paul Casol or Chris Bosh, small forward-Stoyakovic, shooting gaurd-Jamal Crawford and point gaurd Chris Paul! We would have such a dominating lineup!
We may or may not draft a second rounder this year :?: We'll probably sign a small forward and develop him and hopefully we can sign a small forward for 3 years because i've always hated 2 year contracts, i love 3 year contracts or more; i love long term deals except when it comes to veterans who have 7 or more years in the nba. We'll probably go after Paul Casol first because he's a seven footer and we want to be really big up front. If we put the right price on the table for the lakers then, i think the lakers will accept, but one player that i refuse to trade even though i know the lakers need a point gaurd is Deron collinson, although i may end up having to trade him  but for Paul Casol, i'd probably do that. Why? Because i want this team to win now, and Casol has experience in playoffs and already has a championship ring something that Collinson doesn't have.
So Chris Paul, you are safe, we won't trade you for many years to come because you're still going to be our go to guy, but there will be more offseason transactions, hopefully trades.

The hornets are playing well as they have won over 20 games and lost under 18, i forgot the record. But some crazy things have been happening around the league.

Transactions:
Portland receives Kwame Brown and detroit recevies Brandon Roy
Portland receives Ben Gordon and detroit receives Marcus Camby
___________
Hornets trade news:
New orleans receives 2nd round pick and Brad Miller, and the bulls receives James Posey and Darius Songoila
______________
Mvp candidates
C.Bosh
D.Norwitzski
T.Duncan
A.Harrington
A.Stoudamire
_________________
League leaders in points per game
Bosh 26
Norwitzski 26
Bryant 23
________________
Its January now and as you know its one more month to go to the trade deadline, will the hornets make another trade this year? Will the hornets keep winning? Good news is is that Chris Paul is very happy in new orleans and is enjoying the team's winning ways, recently the hornets went on an 8 game winning streak only to go on a 5 game loosing streak with the the loosing streak starting off at san antonio in a close game and a blow out game at home to the lakers, and i mean a blow out, the lakers scored over 120 points and the hornets scored 77! This team needs a bit more defense, and that's why a Chris Bosh trade has to happend or a Pau Casol trade has to happend this offseason one way or another. We may have to trade Okafor and a rookie, but that's ok. We want to win an nba title now!
