T Mac is injured?
Wed Feb 24, 2010 10:09 am
It doesn't sound too serious - nothing torn or sprained according to that report - but given his history, it's probably best to err on the side of caution.

Bill Walker is going off for the Knicks.
David Lee dominated the helpless Pistons as well.
Thu Mar 04, 2010 1:55 pm
I had no idea Bill Walker had game. He had potential coming out of college and I figured he would get better playing behind Pierce and Allen in Boston, but he's been really good in his short stay in the rotation/starting line-up.
Thu Mar 04, 2010 2:04 pm
I always liked Bill Walker back when he played with OJ Mayo in hs. I still think he left college a little too early.

T-Mac and Lee both came close to triple doubles, Lee a little closer with his 21, 18 and 8. All starters in double figures, four over 20 points and the team shooting the ball pretty well as a whole in a 24 point blowout. One of the better games for a Knicks fan to catch this season, from the looks of things.

I'm just saddened that T-Mac's knee is still bothering him after all that rest and surgery.
http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... NBA&id=473We're fairly certain that his knees will feel that tomorrow,
Thu Mar 04, 2010 7:44 pm
It's probably never going to be 100%. Some players are able to come all the way back from those injuries, others will have lingering problems. He hasn't been doing too badly for the Knicks considering his knee is still bothersome.
Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:33 pm
I really hope T-Mac stays with the Knicks... and Knicks plz lose more so that the Jazz get the no 1 or 2 pick xD
Fri Mar 05, 2010 12:26 am
That would be unbelievably depressing for the Knicks and Knicks fans if that were to happen. It could easily happen too, that pick isn't protected.

Walsh is full of s***. The coach does share some of the blame for this mess.
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baske ... _mike.htmlI love how Brain-Dead Dolan is upset. Hey, dumb***, you put the Knicks in this situation, letting Scott Layden & Isiah run this franchise into the ground for eight years. You expect Walsh to turn this around overnight? What a tool!
Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:09 am
No question, though it's admirable that he's defending D'Antoni and giving him a vote of confidence; John Paxson and Gar Forman could learn a few things from him about handling such situations. Completely agree in regards to Dolan, what more does he expect of Walsh so soon?
Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:54 am
Especially after Dolan let Isiah wreck the Knicks' salary cap and trade draft picks for bums. Shows you how clueless Dolan is.
The only thing to hammer Walsh on are the two draft picks, Gallinari & Hill.
Fri Mar 05, 2010 12:27 pm
Walsh has done a pretty amazing job when it comes to trimming the payroll and putting the Knicks in a position to improve their roster, especially given how quickly he's managed to do it. As we've said before, the biggest problem is that there's no clear Plan B right now but compared to the mess of the Layden/Thomas regimes, Walsh deserves a lot of credit for what he's done. It just remains to be seen whether or not it's all for nothing.
Fri Mar 05, 2010 1:06 pm
Plan B will be spend wisely, make the Knicks a low-level playoff team, then gear up for Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul in 2011.

Would you be in favour of keeping McGrady around at a greatly reduced price?

If he's willing to come off the bench, why not? But can he play for another season with bad knees?
Sat Mar 06, 2010 9:57 am
Certainly remains to be seen. If he can through the rest of the season and the offseason without another surgery, I guess the outlook is promising.

I'm glad the Knicks actually got some value back for Nate. But then again I would've been glad to get nothing back at all. I hate his game so much. I always felt him being a "fan favorite" was bs because the REAL Knick fans stopped going to games years ago. Not to say he wasn't popular at the Garden.
Sun Mar 07, 2010 12:50 pm
When will the NY media get on D'Anfoni's case like they did Isiah's? Every day Zeke was savaged in the press(and rightly so), but this lame-ass is getting a free pass. This team shows ZERO effort on the defensive end. I don't give a f*** what Donnie Walsh says, that falls on the coach! The Nets smoked them by 20 points!!!

Seems an appropriate time to mention this:
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/65152/20100305/dantoni_my_system_will_produce_title_for_knicks/"I’m 100 percent sure the way we want to play will win," D'Antoni said in response to a question about his quick-paced style of basketball. "I think we’ll win a championship this way. Now, not today. But that’s where we want to get to."
Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:15 pm
Knicks are burned if they won't sign Bron.
Actually even if they sign him, they won't win the trophy.
Sun Mar 07, 2010 9:50 pm
They shouldn't sign Bron when they got some good young talent in Chandler and Gallinari, even though Galinnari is not doin so well rite now
Sun Mar 07, 2010 11:08 pm
Chandler and Gallinari over Bron? What's wrong with you?
