I bet if Sheed had been on the court, he would of kicked Chara's ass.

Sweet start. They cooperate to beat Chara, we'll see how it works out. You should have put in Westbrook more, I mean Durant and him hate each other since the whole girl thing.

There will be lots of opportunity to include Westbrook if he stays in Sacramento. :)

The rivalry was always there between Ty and Chara from ALIB I. Yeah, it will be more prevalent if Ty can keep being a star!

* Tiebreaker – If two or more people have the same amount of points, the tiebreaker is decided by how many series you correctly picked.

What Do You Do Now?

It’s very simple. Every participant now has a certain number of points that they will be able to use on improving attributes of their virtual player. You only have one chance to use all these points so don’t waste your points (i.e. any leftover points are not able to be brought forward to the next tipping competition).

For every Skill-based attribute, it costs you 4 points in order to improve that certain attribute by 1. For every Physical-based attribute, it costs you 8 points in order to improve that certain attribute.

Skill-based attributes are skills like shooting, dribbling, passing, rebounding, etc. Physical-based attributes includes attributes like strength, speed, endurance, as well as mental attributes such as awareness. If you are unsure whether the attribute you want to include is a skill-based or physical-based one, you are able to post and pose your question.

A quick example of how to let me know how you want to improve your player:

Player: 75 points
Three point shooting + 5 (20 points)
Mid range shooting + 4 (16 points)
Layup + 3 (12 points)
Stamina + 3 (24 points)
3 Points left over that cannot be spent

Please send me your edit player requests (Don’t forget to include your player’s name!) via PM and in the format that is in italics.

You have 3 days to send in your requests! Only the people who have bolded names may participate. :)

Small change and challenge - There was a glitch in my save so had to go to my backup file which was in the preseason. It changed my new schedule so in order to reflect this, I have changed the text in the prologue as well as Chapter 1. Whoever spots it first gets 50 player points. Just a bit of fun!

Also good news for everyone, will be recapping playoffs in coming days then the NBA Draft is up!

My guess is that you did not play the Hawks before. Ginobili, Prince, Horford, Smith, I just don't remember them being in there.
I will post my points later or tomorrow.

I thought awareness was 8 points?

So I have 130 and I go for +15 off aware --> 120 and +2 for passing --> 8 --> 128 out of 130 spent on Chris Hova

2011-12 Recap Part 6 – 2012 Playoffs: First Round

Manu To The Rescue

The New Jersey Nets were hoping for a first round upset of the second seeded Atlanta Hawks and that nearly eventuated as the Nets took a 3-2 series lead. However, Many Ginobili would return from injury and help his side reach the second round, courtesy of back to back wins to close the series. Although the score line would not suggest it; Game 6 proved to be an exciting affair as the Hawks stopped the Nets from winning on their home court and avoided an improbable loss.

New Jersey’s offseason acquisition Carmelo Anthony led New Jersey with 30 points to open the series with a surprise 116-102 win in Atlanta. Melo came back two nights later to score 29 but his Nets were the losers in a heartbreaking and heart stopping Game 2. Al Horford led the Hawks with 19 points and 13 rebounds, including the clutch basket that would win the game. Horford’s bucket put the Hawks ahead 114-113 with 4.3 seconds left and set up Melo with the final shot. Melo would shoot an airball and the series would be tied 1-1 heading to New Jersey.

Nets’ fans were ecstatic that the playoffs were back in town with memories of the 2002 and 2003 NBA Finals runs on their minds. However, those fans were reminded that their current Nets team isn’t Finals material just yet as they were on the wrong end of a 123-88 drubbing. Josh Smith scored 30 and Andrea Bargnani had 25 in the win for the Hawks.

Game 4 was the point where the Nets redeemed themselves. Melo led the side with 26 points. Raymond Felton was huge off the Nets bench with 22 points, 9 assists amply making up for another sub-par performance from Barney Steele. Marcus Banks scored 22 points and Brandon Bass and Josh Smith each had 21 to lead the Hawks. The game came down to the last shot with Melo making up for his Game 2 miss. His three pointer at the buzzer tied the series at 2-2 and gave the Nets a morale raising 132-130 win.

The Nets then pulled off a 119-103 win in Game 5 to move one step closer to the second round. Melo led New Jersey with 23 and Yi Jianlian had a double double of 23 points and 11 rebounds. After missing the first four games of the series and scoring 23 in his first game back in Game 5, Ginobili’s presence lifted his team to a Game 6 win, tying the series at 3-3 in front of a boisterous Nets home crowd. The Hawks were booed on and off the court but Ginobbili, a championship winner with the San Antonio Spurs, fed off of the negativity and produced 19 points, leading six other Hawks in double digit scoring. Melo scored 28 and Jianlian added 24 in a 129-117 losing effort.

The final game of the series was meant to be a close affair but ended up as a blowout victory for the home team. Atlanta won Game 7 121-106 in front of their fans and advanced to the second round. Ginobili once again led six others in double figures with 26 of his own. Josh Smith was all over the court with 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists. Melo finished with 28 in a losing effort.

The Hawks advanced to play the sixth seeded Washington Wizards in the next round.

2012 First Round Series Summary
