There is no doubt that the kid has potential. He brings a lot of energy to the floor, which one of my favorite team clearly lacks this year (Blazers). Right now its all about finding the right fit for him and putting him with a team that he can maximize his game with.

It's more about Nate growing up and realizing it's not about him, but getting his teammates involved. Until he 'gets it', he'll be nothing more than a circus act.

Absolutely. And I get so frustrated with these young Knick fans who are impatient with Walsh. He has to undo eight years of retarded moves by the last two regimes. That shit takes time.

I'm not impatient with Walsh, but I am annoyed at the whole '2010' deal. Because of this we are most likely gonna lose one of the best rebounders in the NBA.

So what are the NYK fans expectations of the 2010 bonanza?
outside of the big 3, do you guys think Stoudemire, Boozer, Joe Johnson are worth the or near max contract?

Knicks aren't getting any of the big three. If they can somehow find a way to deal Curry, they might have enough money to sign two of the next-tier free agents.

Found this at another site. This really pisses me off. Jordan Hill may be going to the D-League. We could have had Jennings or Ty Lawson but no, we've got our lottery pick heading to the D-League. What a joke of an organization.

who do you think they should go after (after the big 3)? maybe Stoudemire at a max contract??

that's really a shame if a draft pick that high is sent to the d-league

if there's any consolation- despite the bulls getting their 2 1st round picks and dumping a few bad contracts on the knicks, they are in a very similar situation

Why not? Maybe they could get Amare & Joe Johnson? I'll be very happy with that. The fans here are desperate - we haven't had meaningful basketball since 2000.

Robinson wants trade from Knicks

Nate Robinson’s agent said Saturday night he has asked the New York Knicks to trade the benched guard because it’s clear the team has no interest in playing him anytime soon.

Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni “doesn’t want him there and is not going to play him,” said Aaron Goodwin, Robinson’s agent. “And we do not want him to rot on D’Antoni’s bench like [Stephon] Marbury.”

Probably easier said than done, unless someone else has an expiring contract they're willing to swap.

from the article wrote:D’Antoni has denied he has a personal rift with Robinson, saying this week he would even play “Satan” if it would help the Knicks win.

Nate, despite whatever shortcomings coach D’Antoni may think that he has, is not Satan, but can clearly score.”

Nate better be tight with JC because he's not getting any backroom deals with his soul after dissing the devil. I also doubt satan is that desperate being doomed for eternity and all as to play with the Knicks.

That was some performance against the Mavs, wasn't it? Jesus, those fools didn't even try to play.

Chicago, Charlotte, and Toronto are playing the way they should've been, as are the Knicks. Whatever little playoff hopes I had are gone. Hopefully next year it won't suck so bad to be a Knicks fan.

Like Coach Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are". All I care about is midnight, July 1.

Seems as if Nates on his way to Boston, no details as to who he was traded for yet. http://dimemag.com/2010/02/breaking-new ... to-boston/

I heard it's Eddie House, stack.

I'm hoping they got Boston to include a draft pick. We'll be finding out soon enough.

Weird trade for the Celtics to make.

I can't figure out why Boston would do this, but if Walsh can get a draft pick along with House, sweet!

Maybe he's got a Plan B after all, one that extends beyond Tracy McGrady.

Eddie House is great. Liked him since his days at Arizona State. Great deal for Knicks if it goes through (Y)

Maybe Boston just loves the Knicks' sloppy seconds?

The Celtics are probably panicking a little with the season not going exactly to plan and KG still hobbling a bit. Looking for a change for change's sake.

Even though the knicks lost the new knick players really looked good tonight. Rodriguez is definitely an upgrade over Duhan and Tracy McGrady played pretty good all around game. Eddie house kept them in the game with his sharp shooting. Overall, the knicks maybe more competitive as the season comes to an end (Y)

T-Mac was impressive for being out for that long!
26 pts, some fantastic plays(An insane assist and a great reverse layup.Old T-Mac style, though old T-Mac would dunk it also  ) and a solid game at all points of it.I think he should be given the last shot in OT,not inbounding the ball.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

A very respectable game for a player who hasn't played quality minutes for quite a while and many have probably written off. If he can stay healthy then perhaps he's still got some good years left in him. Meanwhile, he's expressed an interest in staying beyond this season and hints that it won't take an unreasonable amount of money to get him to stick around, which might not be a bad idea even if they do land a quality free agent or two this offseason.

If more great players past their prime athletically would realize how to adjust their game to the fact their bodies are breaking down and accepting a more "contributor" role than go to guy role i think it'd be good for basketball. A lot less whining about "washed up crappy overpaid" vets.

Is an impressive debut out of tmac, i was amazed the knicks were starting him.

It was great seeing some of the sports heroes from my youth last night - the 1969-70 NBA Champion Knicks. Unfortunately they had to see the slop that's the current Knicks. No size, can't rebound, can't defend, no boxing out, and David Lee got owned by Andrew fucking Bogut.
