LeBron & Dwight's New McDonald's Commercial

This is the new McDonald's commercial which features LeBron James and Dwight Howard, that aired just before the kickoff of the Super Bowl. It plays off of the McDonald's commercial that aired in 1993, which featured Michael Jordan and Larry Bird as the two NBA stars. I heard about this a few weeks ago, and it ended up being pretty much what I expected. I thought it was pretty cool though, especially because of the appearance of Bird at the end.

I laughed at the end when they didn't know who Bird was, but it was kinda cheesy

Both of their characters (even if they are portraying themselves) are morons for not knowing Bird.

Hella cheesy. But those dunks were giving me NBA Live Dunk Contest flashbacks.

Good stuff, Bird's cameo at the end was a nice way to cap it off. It can't beat the original though, not with the outfit that Jordan is wearing; it just epitomises the early 90s.

original is way better. Lebron and Kobe although im sure already owned by nike would've been a more fair remake. Someone you know who makes hard shots, not just dunks (or non dunks as the case may be). There's also i feel no rivalry between Lebron and Dwight. What made the MJ/Bird commercial work was them both being in the conversation not just for best at their position, but best ever period. I mean, does dwight howard crack a top 50 of all time greats? I dont think so.

It was a bit "meh" in my opinion. Though I did get a kick out of the "no jumpshots" and Larry Bird's appearance at the end.

The original commercial is awesome. The new one isn't as cool, but all the references are pretty awesome.

The 'no jump shots' was funny. Not knowing Bird cracked me up. But the first was better.
