New Orleans Hornets All-Star point guard Chris Paul will undergo arthroscopic surgery for a cartilage tear in his left knee on Monday and could miss one to two months, sources close to Paul told Yahoo! Sports on Sunday night.

Paul injured the knee in the final moments of regulation in a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Friday. Paul was injured after he fell into a photographer on the baseline after trying to catch an errant inbounds pass from Hornets forward David West. Paul came up limping after the play, which led to the Bulls tying the game with .2 seconds left.

Bad news all around, except for one of the snubs in the West who'll now get the nod.

Billups. Sucks for Paul and all 10 Hornets fans, but improves Portland's playoff odds.

I'm Guessing Billups will replace him. It can't be Kaman since CP3 is a guard.

With Deron Williams on the roster, they could opt to replace Paul with one of the snubs at another position (eg Kaman) but I wouldn't be surprised if they go with Billups.

I might be biased, but I'd like to see Billups in the side.

I'd like to see Billups because he's been way better than Kaman. If any West Center has to go it should be either Bynum or Pau's brother.

Fair call, it is getting overshadowed a bit. Mind you, there's not much that can be said beyond "it sucks".

Only a lunatic would pick Kaman over Billups. There's no comparison, Billups is an all-time great at this point.
