Greg Oden asks for Trade
Decenber 16th 2010
Despite the team being in a good situation record wise, the Blazers'
Greg Oden is asking to be traded.
The Blazers are first in the Northwest Division at 13-12 and are 7th
in the Western Conference, however, Oden is very much frustrated
at losing out minutes to his backup Joel Przybilla.
Oden has been averaging 8.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per
game this season, playing in 25.1 minutes per game as a starter
for Portland. The lack of minutes is apparently due to his foul problems.
Oden is averaging 4.4 fouls per game, and has 5 fouls in 10 of his last
15 appearances.
What makes the situation worse is his current dislocated finger, which
would limit his action on the court for a further 1-2 weeks.
The Blazers has declined to comment while Oden has been fined $25,000
for public statements detrimental to the NBA.
Knicks shipping Parker
December 16th 2010
The New York Knicks are reported to have been shipping offseason
acquisition Anthony Parker around the league.
Donnie Walsh lost out on the LeBron James summer bid, and spent
his cash on role players such as Parker and Glen Davis; Naturally,
that did not work out at all, as the Knicks (8-16) are now at the
very bottom of the Eastern Conference.
Parker has been mediocre at the best, averaging just 7.6 points,
2.0 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game as the Knicks' starting
2 guard. He is shooting a horrendous .350 from the field and
.315 from trey, with a free throw percentage of .758

Torn ACL Sidelines Hamilton for Season
December 19th 2010
Richard Hamilton will miss the remainder of the season with tears
to the anterior cruciate ligament on his left knee.
Hamilton is 32 years of age and the injury is considered career threatening.
Hamilton suffered the injury on a play late in the fourth quarter against the
Phoenix Suns, the Bucks lost the game 90-104.
"I'll be back for sure" said Hamilton "Injuries happen, I'm just going to be
optimistic about it and work my way back"
For the season thus far, Hamilton has been averaging 14.7 points and 4.1
assists per game in 25 games played.
Ray Allen done for season with Torn Achilles Tendon
December 20th 2010
Just one day after Detroit's Hamilton suffered a season ending injury,
the NBA suffered another loss as the Nets' offseason prize Ray Allen
goes down with a Torn Achilles Tendon, one that would end his first
season as a Net.
The injury is a significant blow to a uprising Nets team that is leading
the Eastern Conference at 18-8, they have won 9 out of their last 10,
and Allen, who is averaging 16.6 points per game coming off the bench
for the Nets, has been an extremely important part in the Nets' success.
Allen suffered the injury just 2 minutes into the game last night
when the Nets were visiting the Atlanta Hawks. The Nets eventually
won the game by 34 points - 104-70, but their season is at risk now,
with one of their best players being out.

(Never understood how having both of them worked anyway, since both only play one position) Granted, I've been disappointed with the lack of injuries in mine. (I have the Durability slider set to 0, but after 13 games, nothing...)
Keep it up man. Are you trying to get Anthony Parker or give Shannon Brown more PT?

Oden joins LeBron in Cleveland through Blockbuster trade
December 20th 2010
The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced that they have acquired center Greg Oden
and forward Martell Webster from the Portland Trailblazers in exchange for forward
Hedo Turkoglu and center Channing Frye.
"The team is currently not doing as well as we would have liked, and we feel that
a big man like Oden is going to help us tremendously" said Cavaliers GM Danny
Ferry "Of course, Martell is a great talent to have also and we look forward to
his contributions."
Oden, a former first overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft, had suffered various
setbacks in his relatively short NBA career. Filled with Injuries and having problems
with staying out of foul trouble, the big man never really worked out for the Blazers
and demanded a trade just last week.
Knicks sends Parker away for Jarvis Crittenton
December 26th 2010
The New York Knicks have reported that a deal has been reached between
them and the Washington Wizards to send guard/forward Anthony Parker
to the nation's capital in exchange for guard Jarvis Crittenton.
Parker was signed by the Knicks in the 2010 offseason and never really
worked out, having career lows in various categories and has had terrible
chemistry with both his teammates and the front office.
The Knicks were first reported to have been shipping him since an incident
between Parker and rookie guard Thierry Tirieux; in which the Argentina
native was reported to have been held back by teammates following a
heated exchange initialed by the veteran Parker.
