I think, that if anything goes wrong,
it should be Kobe Bryant!
Sun Jan 17, 2010 8:17 am
based purely on PER...there are 8 players currently ahead of him...
Sun Jan 17, 2010 8:35 am
Its obviously going to be LeBron (as it should be)
Sun Jan 17, 2010 9:42 am
If Cleveland finished with the best record then it's Lebron but if the Lakers have the best record then maybe just maybe it's Kobe

By "anything goes wrong" you mean all the other superstars dying in a plane crash on the way to All-Star Weekend?

I think, if anything goes right,
it should be Dwyane Wade!

For sure, having a somewhat off season for a mediocre (at best) team totally warrants an MVP.

Fixed.

Aaron Brooks!

As of right now it's Lebron James followed by Kobe Bryant, with Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki rounding out the top 5.

No love for Durant?

It's just a Race of Kobe and Bron.

Probably a close sixth unless he leads the Thunder to a nice winning streak and a better playoff spot, if any.
Mon Jan 18, 2010 12:18 pm
Durant is having a stellar season but team record contributes a lot to MVP consideration so I guess he'll be in the top 10 but no where close the top 3.
Tue Jan 19, 2010 6:43 pm
LeBron James.

People seem to forget that Heat was at the very bottom of the rank before Wade came back from injury and that wasn't even a long time ago. I think he deserves more credits than what he gets today in the league.
Anyways, Lebron I think will win the award this year, but next year, Wade will have better chance than this year if a solid second option comes to help out Wade.

Well given your avatar and sig I know where you coming from, but still the stats just do not prove it. He is not shooting the ball as well as he used to. Maybe it would still be a MVP season if the the Heat were at a league best record. But they aren't, so he just does not have a chance.

If it took LeBron 6 years to get the MVP, I don't think that Durant will win it with this year's numbers and the Thunder's record.

+1

It's gonna be Lebron. Who else..
Wed Jan 20, 2010 10:04 am
Kobe.
Especially if the Lakers finish first.
Wed Jan 20, 2010 1:08 pm
It will definitely be Kobe of LA has best record at the end of the season. considering the amount of injuries he's had and the points he puts up per game and leading his team to best record in the league it should be him if he and LA continues the pace they are on.

Hey, I didn't even have to write the stupid narrative the media will convince themselves of, somebody else did it for me. Thanks!
