Yes,the Version 3.0 of my huge retro patch is ready,
i started the upload, in some hours the 600Mb patch is online

i fixed a lot, for example:

- complete courts of every year
- add more jerseys
- preview of all jerseys
- preview of the stadiums
- complete all teamlogogs of every year
- left hand players
- year experience
- team records
- complete 70`s roster
- and many more....

Your sgsm 002 rar wont open cos you saved it as .rar.002...so its saved as a '002' file, which doesnt exist so it isnt a 'rar' file...you gotta fix that

My best congratulations for your amazing work! I was looking for something like this in a very long time!!!

I really can't wait for your next releases in order to play a season... I.M.O. the ONLY issue is your choice to put together rosters from consecutive seasons... I.E. I played a couple of 1988-90 games and I've found Terry Cummings both in Milwaukee and San Antonio, Maurice Cheeks in Philadelphia and San Antonio and so on... It's a bit pointless.. for example, here you have 1989 Atlanta Hawks final roster (according to basketballreference, players waived or traded during the season not included):

Just an example, 2/5 of the starting 5 changed from the first season to the second... Then, in 1989 Lakers still had Kareem and David Robinson was in the navy... the following season the former was retired, while the latter was playing for the Spurs... Since you've got already the most of the job, it would be nice for you to choose 1989 OR 1990 season... Just my opinion!

PS: Paxson, if you choose to simulate a single season (1989 OR 1990, 1996 OR 1997, 2003 OR 2004) I can help you providing the final rosters for every team as soon as possible... It's a boring part, so you could save a bit of time...

PPS: For the guys in trouble with joining the 2 files... It's easy, just follow Paxson's instructions... first, download the save file and copy in your saves folder.. Then download the 2 parts in a folder of your choice (or in your desktop), then download hjsplit (it's a 300K utility...), then launch it and select the first file... the program will detect automatically the second one and will join the two files in one... at that point, extract the joined file with winrar or 7zip and copy everything in your "sgsm" folder... Then launch the game, load one of the seasons and enjoy the patch!

i make a test, and download the two parts, and put it together with hjsplit, and then unpacked with winrar - and everything was good!!
so there is no need to fix!

second: i know i have sometimes different rosters, for example the 95 magic and the 96 lakers, so there are two shaqs in the game
but this will be fixed in the version 3.2, when every team has 12 players, and there will be a different(single) season roster of 2002, 2003, 1995, 1996

the main target for 3.0 was the right logogs, jerseys, courts etc..., the 100% right rosters will be follow

That's cool! Can't wait for version 3.2! It will bring a lot of retro fun! A small tip: looking forward to that full roster version, please have a look at player's fatigue ratings, because some of them do not get tired at all and are able to play the whole game... In this direction Andrew's rosters are the gold standard, so it would be cool to do it along these lines... In addition, it would be also nice to get the ARCO arena court for the 1980s Sacramento Kings, Market Square arena court for the Pacers and Bradley Center court for the late 1980s Milwaukee Bucks, because every other court is pretty close to their real counterpart... As I wrote already, if you want I can help you with rosters, just ask...

PS: Capital Centre doesn't have anything at the halfcourt... I mean no circle and no writing... Does it happen just to me or is something missing?

I joined the 2 files with the hjsplit program. But then I had problems with excrating the files in the sgsm folder. I had a message that said the file could not be created in the sgsm folder. I am not sure what to do.

Hi Paxson,

unfortunately I'm not a patchmaker... If I was, I would have helped BAYAG and Bird_33 in their projects... Still, I can find some time for .dbf editing and small stuff... I could provide you the proper rosters for each year with real players' positions and order in the lineup (in your 1980s save many players are out of role)... I could also change each player's fatigue rating for more realistic substitutions and spend time in looking for some good pictures of any selected court... Just little things but maybe you can save few days...

BTW keep it working to this project in March or whenever you can and you've got the desire... this release is really promising, you committed yourself in a big work and you're not so far from the final goal!

Thanks Paxson. I figured out how to load the files. After I joined the 2 sgsm files, I extracted them into a new folder. Then I did the cut and paste method into the main sgsm folder. I loaded live 08 and they showed up in the load/save folder.
