Not a bad trade for Thad. Nice work getting BJ into the all-star game. Let's see if you can win a few awards over the weekend :)

Those are some weird line ups. Its pretty weird that they are so many starters from the same team. Has their ever been 3 players on the same team starting before?
Anyway you should trade for the one and only JERRY? That or kill Flynn he's stealing my THUNDER. 2 pts per game is just unacceptable (N)

Man I completely forgot all about the Live dynasty section after seeing all of the new associations being started up recently. With the lack of a PC port these past few years the Live section has really taken a hit but I'm happy to see that you're still holding the fort down in this section.

I'll re-continue my viewing of this dynasty... Espcially considering that the Raptors have three all-stars this year. :wink:

You have the chance. Glad you liked the updates. :)

Yeah, Live 06 hates D-Wade. Also Kobe.

anthony22 wrote:haha turkoglu in front of Lebron is nice :D

and i hate when the Jazz have too many all-star players or more than 3 MVP candidates..its annoying me

The MVP race is messed up. I have three all-stars, so can't really pick on the Jazz. :P Although Kobe, Paul or Yao should have made it.

You gonna get beaten by Jennings and Griffin! :P

yeah it sucks. Iverson re-signed in the summer also.

You can't be a star in everyone's dynasty :P

Thierry is Lebron and you are more of a Mo Williams. :P

Lamrock wrote:Thats a lot of Jazz players. :|

yeah, it's a record what I've seen in Live. They are second in the West but still. The Lakers lead the conference and have none.

Hope I can snatch a couple of awards. Got your info also, thanks for sending. :)

I think it is a record. I've seen two, not more. Sometimes patience pays off. Madden was DNP and suddenly got the start and stayed there. :P

Glad to see you check in. You can be in the draft also, if you'd like. I only have 3 NLSC rookies so the race can be tight.

The All-Star selections really piss me off. Not this year, as I have 3 players there. :P

Jennings dishes 26 assists to carry the Sophomores.
02/19/11 - Rookies (122) - Sophomores (150)

    Image
    Jennings won his second Rookie-Sophomore Game MVP.

It was a year ago when Brandon Jennings carried the Rookies over the Sophomores with 38 points and 12 assists. He carried on his amazing performance in the Rookie Challenge with 29 points and 26 assists, a Rookie Challenge record to lead the Sophomores over the Rookies, 150-122.

All Sophomores scored in double-figures thanks to superb play-making by Jennings. The Sophomores shot 64%. As a team, they had 38 assists.

Blake Griffin, the former #1 pick Blake Griffin was a key to the win with 27 and 11 rebounds. Hasheem Thabeet was a second half beast with 15 points and 7 blocks. In the second half, he had 13 points and all of his blocks. James Harden raced up 23 points and all the rest of the team scored between 10 and 13 points.

Thierry Tirieux, the #1 pick in the 2010 draft led the Rookies with 31 points and 11 boards. Huit Ocho racked up 28 points and 16 rebounds. Will Sit scored 15 points and Zoilo Resureccion also reached double-figures with 10 points to go with 4 assists and 3 steals.

The Rookies were a bit off with taking care off the basketball, as they had 28 turnovers, leading to 15 steals for the Sophomores and 25 points off turnovers.

"I thought about taking things slowly, because of the All-Star Game, but I figured what the hell. I doubt I can make the same on Sunday though.." laughed Jennings after the game.

Yeah, I guess it could get pretty boring me dominating everywhere.

Who's the Most Improved Player?

The season has reached the All-Star Weekend, a good time to reflect on who has improved the most. This award can be overlooked because of the fierce rookie class and the MVP race. Both feature the ashtonising rookie Thierry Tirieux. He has been simply spectacular for Golden State.

But enough intro, let's look at the candidates :

Image

1. Jason Kapono | Philadelphia 76ers | SF
----------------------------
| 4.1 Ppg | 1.4 Rpg | 0.7 Apg | 0.14 Spg | 0.06 Bpg |
to ->
| 21.6 Ppg | 2.7 Rpg | 2.7 Apg | 1.06 Spg | 0.44 Bpg |
----------------------------
The Sixers were the worst team in the league with their 3pt percentage and so acquired Kapono from Toronto. Now in his second season with the team, he has become their leading scorer with over 21 a game. He's shooting 47% from three. He has been such an imporatant part of the team, that even with the arrival of Wilson Chandler, Kapono's minutes haven't decreased. Looking at his PPG increase, this award should be a lock.
----------------------------

Image

2. Yi Jianlian | New Jersey Nets | PF
----------------------------
| 6.4 Ppg | 6.8 Rpg | 2.1 Apg | 0.85 Spg | 0.93 Bpg |
to ->
| 17.7 Ppg | 7.3 Rpg | 2.3 Apg | 0.75 Spg | 1.19 Bpg |
----------------------------
Marcus Camby arrived in New Jersey and Yi, off a much worse season then Brook Lopez, maintained his stating position. He has averaged more then 17 points and 7 boards for the Nets. While Lopez's averages are from 20 and 10 to 5 and 3. The Nets also have a shot to make the Playoffs, sitting 8th in the East.
----------------------------

Image

3. Devin Brown | New York Knicks | SG
----------------------------
| 7.5 Ppg | 2.6 Rpg | 1.3 Apg | 0.54 Spg | 0.17 Bpg |
to ->
| 17.4 Ppg | 3.7 Rpg | 2.5 Apg | 1.53 Spg | 0.47 Bpg |
----------------------------
Having spend a couple of years in New Orleans, on the bench, Brown opted to sign with the Knicks. The move has payed off. Brown is second in the team in scoring and is the only notable defender in the Knicks. The Knicks are dead bottom in the East, but without Brown they may still have 0 victories.
----------------------------

Image

4. J.J Hickson | Phoenix Suns | PF
----------------------------
| 0.4 Ppg | 1.1 Rpg | 0.2 Apg | 0.05 Spg | 0.15 Bpg |
to ->
| 7.4 Ppg | 5.8 Rpg | 1.1 Apg | 0.59 Spg | 0.94 Bpg |
----------------------------
Hickson didn't crack Mike Brown's rotation in Cleveland and signed with the Suns. He and Amare combine for one of the most athletic front-courts there are. Hickson has gotten the starting job over Channing Frye, who is averaging over 9 points and 6 boards off the bench, but lacks the defensive presence which Hickson possesses. But with Frye so big off the bench, perhaps the Suns can snatch that award if Hickson can't?
----------------------------

Image

5. Brandon Jennings | Milwaukee Bucks | PG
----------------------------
| 14.3 Ppg | 2.9 Rpg | 6.7 Apg | 1.50 Spg | 0.18 Bpg |
to ->
| 20.3 Ppg | 2.9 Rpg | 8.9 Apg | 2.10 Spg | 0.29 Bpg |
----------------------------
The Young Buck has improved statistically in every category apart from rebounding. Although his numbers from last season aren't that drastically different thank Kapono for example, but in terms of development as a player, he is number one. He is an All-star now, he leads the league in assists and steals and is the centerpiece of the Bucks' success this season. Jennings should more be included in the MVP talks, but if he doesn't win that, he should win this award.
