Nice update. I have a feeling that there will be a kind of storyline that will involved Williams. That's just my guess though.

I was also surprised when I've read that, their trainers are insane.

He really deserves it thats why I will try to give it to him, at least in Live...
Thierry. wrote:Nice update man, Dirk 4 MVP!
Unless they reach something further, it would be difficult for him to get it again...but it's possible.

Thanks man...my next update should be this weekend...

Ask the reporters about that, haha...like Williams said, I say no comment!

Mavericks Team Reportby GM Kaiser D.As the regular season is just days away, Mavs roster have been finalized for the opening night. Coming to his 12th NBA season, Dirk Nowitzki, the captain of the Dallas Mavericks, will try again to lead and carry this team into further heights. Their backcourt are still solid, but aging. That was lead by the veteran, 36 year old playmaker-Jason Kidd, and 32 year old Jason “The Jet” Terry. The trouble-freak wingman Josh Howard, who could play both the 2 and 3 spot, is also not so young at 29. The first two maybe are on the twilight of their careers, but they could still be productive and helpful for the team in the next two to three years. They are also being backed up by the athletic young gun in JJ Barea, promising overseas rookie Rodrigue Beaubois, sharpshooter Matt Carroll, and Quinton Ross as a deep reserve.
It had been a busy offseason for Mark Cuban’s guys. They got some efficient big men in Drew Gooden and Tim Thomas through the free agency. Both were signed to one-year deals. But above these two, the move that is really expected to impact the team is the acquisition of “The Matrix” Shawn Marion. Yes, I know, I know…he shoots uglier than my neighbor, but he could really help Dirk. He complements the fast-paced offense ran by Rick Carlisle as he really blossomed his career stats in the run and gun offense by Mike D’Antoni when he played for the Phoenix Suns. Some Dallas fans really hopes he is the missing helping hand for Dirk in winning a championship. Their backcourt was stable. Their 3 and 4 spots can be started by Nowitzki and Marion, with Gooden and Thomas backing them up respectively. Their center spot…uhhhmmm…oh, I just knew Kris Humphries was on the team.
But seriously, their 5 spot is a hole, a big hole. Their starting center is Erick Dampier, the guy which is being paid 10 million dollars a year just to get free rebounds, to burn calories, and to pretend that their center spot was safe. But it is not. For me, at his age of 34, he is just a quality sixth man, at best. So after Dampier, there is no other true center in this roster. Drew Gooden can spend some time there, and that will put the opposing team in getting easy points at the same spot. Tim Thomas is a soft shooter. Kris Humphries, James Singleton, and Shawne Williams-they are natural power forwards, average backups, and undersized at center. At least, they could back up the backups, bleh…they could go fast in small, making Dirk in 5…but that could not be done in 48 minutes of playing.
Based on my critical thinking, I knew this is the missing key for the team. As the GM, my main goal in materializing a trade is to get a starter-calibre center (could also be an all-star caliber if Grizzlies would give us one).
Well, that’s the excitement of GMs, outsmarting the other teams to build an almost-formidable lineup in contend for a championship…so, just enjoy the ride…let the journey begin…

Nice Team Report, hope you get a decent center

Considering the stats Dampier has been posting as of lately in real life, I don't know if you should trade him so quickly...

Yeah, still waiting for calls and offers

...your dynasty seems so far, so good lately huh...
Thierry. wrote:Considering the stats Dampier has been posting as of lately in real life, I don't know if you should trade him so quickly...
Well, I've watched their last few games and he's playing good...but his problem is consistency, he is consistently inconsistent in his career i think...his 10M contract could be a good salary cap chunk to make trades work, so idk...

I like your articles and your presentation. Keep it up.

I really enjoy this dynasty.
Also, about prediction game, I don't really enjoy them that much... so I keep mines to a minimum...
Mon Dec 14, 2009 9:35 pm
Hmm. I would rather get a good backup for Dampier rather than trading him. Just my opinion.
Are you also gonna keep Barea as the backup guard for Kidd and Terry being the 6th man?

For Dampier, im still weighing my options...trading him or making him a backup...
Well, for my backup point guard, I like both Barea and Beaubois. Barea has more shooting touch, while Beaubois is more of a speedster...so they are still sharing minutes at the point...
For Terry, he is my 6th man as of now...if things go wrong, I will make a trade that will also change their roles...

Why dont you like him? he is a productive point guard, just look at his game today.

Yeah, he is...

I also don't like Barea. He is fast but sometimes his shot selection is kind of

but he did a good job against NOH today and Dirk only scoring 10 points is head scratching.

Ok, if Kaiser D. doesnt see any improvement in his shot selection; then, he is bound to the trading block. Beaubois has a lot of potential though.
I've also saw it, maybe he was just too tired scoring for the team...or maybe just an off-night for a superstar. Im sure he'll get back in their next game.
Wed Dec 16, 2009 10:42 am
IMO... IMO! Beaubois over Barea is a no brainer.

poor Dampier; i still remember him from his stint with Golden State rotating at C with Adonal Foyle; apparently he hasn't changed much since lol
