Talk about NBA 2K10 here.

Is it just me, or is anyone struggling to do behind the back dribbles, hesitation crossovers, basically any moves that require the Left Trigger + Right Trigger in conjunction with the movement stick. I used to play 2k on the XBOX360, and had no problem with the moves, and now on the PC, I can only do the regular moves that only need the Left Trigger. I'm running 2k10 on Windows 7 with a Microsoft XBOX 360 controller.

try to tap spin button twice.

what is happening is the triggers on the 360 controller are mapped to the same axis, so if you hold both of them together the controller thinks nothing is being held
it's because 2k hasnt implemented xinput for the 360 controller on their PC games
to fix this you need to install XBCD drivers for the 360 controller. People have been able to install it on Windows 7, but you'll need to search google for the procedure

Try those moves:-
1-Spin button twice will perform behind the back dribble
2-Crossover button twice with the left analogstick to the right or to the left will perform double dribble move to the choosen side with the left analogstick (ex.if you pressed the crossover button twice with the left analogstick hold to the right your player will crossover the defender to the right and opposite if you hold it to the left)
3-Turbo button hold and then tap the backdown button once will perform the hesitation move
with those 3 moves i managed to smoke lots of defenders and to get an open lane to the basket.
try them and tell me if it helps

I've read about the procedure to utilize the driver on Windows 7, but there's a risk of potential system damage. I'd like to man up, but I just got my laptop so I'll probably wait it out. But thanks alot for that advice.

Defintely more fun, but I dont feel they are more real to execute. Like in clutch situations you may make mistakes execute them with the stick like in real life. Pressing 2 buttons isnt hard. SInce 2k is sim, i think they should remove.
Sry if offtopic

Isn't there still a randomisation at work to ensure it won't succeed everytime?

For me they work everytime. Which move do you mean?

Oh ok. I wasn't sure of it. Then you are right and using the stick to make moves was better.
