Jawai's game really surprised me. It was a great game, but he also made the NBA's Top 10 with two entries. Unfortunately, one was him getting blocked and the other Fernandez stealing the ball from him.

Jawai: 6 points and 7 rebounds in 13 minutes. He got eight shot attempts too, but only connected on two.

At least he's playing. Knew he'd get some minutes in Minny.

I'd love to see him outplay Pecherov and really get some good minutes, but 10-15 off the bench is better than DNP-CD.

Loving that he's getting a chance. Making the most of the minutes given to him.
Andersen is on One HD!

Jawai's on free agency next year isn't he? Hopefully if he plays well in the minutes he gets, other teams will start to show more interest in him.

David Andersen had 8 in the first half and I think he finished with about 15 points in the end. Picked up 5 fouls but he stayed on the court for considerable ammount of time with the Rockets slowly and surely losing a hold on the game.

Yeah, he hit a pretty nice Dirk-style fadeaway during that first half when the Rockets were hitting everything, he was knocking down that jumpshot solidly too. He got completely cold just like everyone else though, he attempted that same fadeaway in the second half and airballed.

23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks for Bogut. He has been on fire lately, him and Jennings are carrying the Bucks to whatever it is they are doing at the moment.

Saw 20 seconds worth of highlights on Sports Tonight and he and Melo were having words.

Good to see him being aggresive (even if he is a tad bigger).

Was going to wait a few more games but screw it, updated the first post.

Jawai got his first start yesterday against Dallas. Dropped 10 points, grabbed a couple of boards and is seeming like a legitimate playing otpion with the Wolves; while Love and Big Al are missing anyway.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 12:13 pm
Yeah I just read about that. I really hope they stick with him in the rotation somewhere when Love and Jefferson are both fit. He's got another start today by the looks of it

Not a particularly noteworthy game for him, but great to see him getting these opportunities while he can.

Jawai: 2 points (1/1), 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 3 fouls in 25 minutes. What an odd performance.
Andrew Bogut: 19 points (9/12), 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block

Even though Houston beat LA, I thought this was a gem.

“We obviously didn’t know the scouting report that well on Andersen,” Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. “We knew he’s a shooter but we didn’t see him playing at that level.”

Nice, here's hoping he'll have more of those games...particularly when they're televised here.

Maybe he has stage fright?
Tue Nov 17, 2009 2:34 pm
More likely, we've just put him under the microscope in our eagerness to see him get worthwhile minutes and produce.
Meanwhile, a more modest 13 and 6 for Bogut today.

I watched the game, he played like a girl. Not that aggressive hair pulling soccer girl, just some random girl.

Andersen played a great game looking at the box score, some of my friends who watched the game said that he still needed to develop defensively though. Seems like a quality player though, someone to turn to when your big men are tired and you want points off the bench.

Yeah, I don't think David Andersen is going to develop anymore. I wish he came to the League earlier and joined the Hawks when he had a chance. I'm sure he would have had a shot to start alongside Al Horford.
Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:17 am
I'm not very informed about Andersen's career, when did he get the opportunity to join the Hawks?
Wed Nov 18, 2009 12:37 am
He was drafted by them in 2002. They didn't bring him over, just hung onto his rights. Sort of like the Spurs did with Luis Scola, and traded them to the Rockets... also like the Spurs did with Luis Scola.

Oh okay, how unfortunate... Thanks for that Jae.
