exactly...and it isn't just about reflections i already said that... but it still should have a lot more reflections... not like these guys are trying to say..im not gona sit here and just let somebody be wrong and they don't know it..for there own benifit...this is the way 2k intended it to be obviously but did a half assed job or didnt finish..on the the pics i posted earlier the bottom picture obviously looks better i dont even see it being a matter of opinion...courts are super reflective..have you ever been to a heat game?? ImageImageImage hell even if you look at old pics of the heat court of 2k9 it has more reflections than it does now...im trying to prove a point cuz this needs to be addressed and you making people think courts look like they do in the first pick is only slowing the process..and even more so if you look real close at the ones you posted the one on low settings you can actually see the players reflections a little. like i was explaining before.. im not saying it should look like a mirror im just saying it should have way more reflections on that particular court...

One of the problems I have is that I don't get the Bulls' logos inside the 3-point area on high, and that kinda makes the court look unrealistic.

The 2K10 courts on high setting aren't shiny and don't reflect like mirrors?

That's it, I'm not getting 2K10 . :x
Shiny mirror like courts are everything to me.

Damn you wicked waway for defending such 2K10 chicanery! :cussing:

I took some comparison screenshots just now. Judge for yourself. Some courts I had were patched so I only took screenshots of DEFAULT (unpatched) courts.

What looks better is a matter of taste. The courts completely change from Low to High settings. Some actually look better on LOW due to the color production (Phoenix) and textures, while others look better on HIGH.

I know. :(
I'm more sorry that the topic is 'important' enough to warrant 32 posts, as of this moment.

its important cuz like the courts are fucked up and unrealistic  im a realism freak and i thought everyone on here was.....like the above post says.. some are better on high some better on low..the lakers court is shiny on both low and high...heat court almost has no reflections and is not very accurate ...the players dont reflect on high and neither does the dornas on the sidelines.I just watched 5 NBA games last night (thanx to league pass)and i saw these reflections on all of them...it takes away the realism its all about atmosphere...

I do think the courts look better on high, but they are not accurate.

My main problem is that some teams logos do not appear inside the 3-point line wher they should be. This makes it look less accurate, especially for the Bulls court where that feature is pretty prominent.

HIGH

Simulation freak first than realism freak. I could care less if someone mentioned that the home or away socks are wrong in color.
But I get your point.

But the courts aren't accurate, that's what we're talking about.

I too think it looks better, but not having some logos on the court on high makes it inaccurate.

you guys do know the billboards on the sideline emit light dont you? therefore there should be are reflection like it is on low..the players should also have slight relfections like showed in the above pics we posted comparing them..yes high has some things better but on low the reflections are actually more realistic it jsut doesnt have all the otehr good effects on it...look at the how the player has a slight reflection in the low pic wicked posted above...thats how it is in real life

it depends on the angle and on same angles as on NBA 2k10, the HIGH has better reflections..LOW just looks like there is a thick coating of plastic/glass between the surface and the wood inside
..and no the players dont reflect on LOW, the reflections are actually almost the same (except for the sideline billboards) its just that the reflections on HIGH are more diffused, but the reflections (what is reflected) is the same

im talkin about the miami heat court for the last time  and they do reflect on low(look in the space i circled)..all the courts aren't the same..the miami court should be alot more reflective than it is on high..and the billboards not reflecting = (N)
i play with miami heat on low and most others on high..do yourselves a favor and watch basketball games in hd if u can..i watch them everyday and its just making me feel more confident that 2k was on the right track with the low courts but they didnt have enough time to finish them so they scrapped them till next year..i guarantee that the courts that look better on low will be the ones in next years game.why do you think there more accurate...billboards reflect and players do too like in real life..they just didn't add the other touches i guess cuz they have to rush every year

Maybe they will include accurate high-rez courts in the patch. If not in the one that's coming now, maybe in next one.

Some help plz:
Why stadium LOD in config.cfg is set to 0 even though ingame option is set to high?Is ,0=low,1=medium,2=high. 3=ultra high for this setting?
I even changed player lod to 3 and the result is impressive in graphics. It's the ultra high setting from 2k9.
Also, changed sideline characters to 2 and again gfx are improved for bench staff and players.Wtf?Game is maxed out in game video settings menu.

why the fuck would i get it on a less superior system? Im playing with 32xQ antialiasing and 16x anisotrpoic filtering which looks 10 times better and i would never even imagine playin on anything less now..not to mention with no slowdown unlike the consoles which are plagued with it. And its not a minute detail..the difference in quality is staggering ..did u even look at the comparison pictures i posted? The court is like the main focus when your playing the game and they are not accurate worth shit on high. If your not a true basketball fanatic i could understand why this wouldn't matter to you.But when i go to a basketball game then come home only to see the colors are wrong, stadium is wrong, logos are wrong its not a minute detail..

What if the reflection in the ball itself is like that too? :-?
