I hope they get RvD and Flair.
And one of my grievances would be commentators calling things a counter when it isn't.

I think you're talking about the shots wherein the wrestler is slammed to the mat and the camera zooms badly to put the "impact" on the move. It's making me dizzy by the way.

that's the reason why i dont want TNA, they do it for every punch or kick

Hogan to TNA could be huge, but I doubt it'll have quite the same impact as Hogan to WCW back in the mid 90s. I think it could very likely end up hurting the young TNA talent in the long run especially if Hogan is put over the same as the other legends currently wrestling in TNA who are past their prime but still occupying the top spots. And with Bischoff on board, I'm sure we'll see some promos with potshots at the WWE that'll make TNA look bush league. They'll beat ECW, but that still leaves them a long way behind the WWE's stronger programming.

If they don't let Hogan go power crazy and use him to put over talent it could work out. But since a lot of people don't even know tna exist, getting more exposure any way they can, would be good. Here's hoping Terry is finally wise to match his years, against common sense.
At least Angle seems to be more understanding of what is sensible if the last impact is something to go by.

That's true, it's got to get them some attention to begin with.

If Bischoff does that on TNA, Vince will then buy the promotion, and it's inVasion all over again.

There's some TNA talent worth acquiring. The WWE would ultimately waste them but I don't think it'd be as bad as the original WCW invasion. I see more potential Chris Jericho's than Buff Bagwell's in TNA.

I like Buff Bagwell. If only he didn't like his stupid hat too much.
And I'm pretty sure Dixie would tell Vince to go fuck himself sideways.

There aren't as many ridiculous contracts to be bought as there were in the WCW acquisition as well. The Invasion angle could've worked if they'd had Hogan, Nash, Hall and in particular Goldberg on board but as I understand it they had huge contracts with Turner with all sorts of perks and clauses that were part of the reason WCW lost so much money and ultimately sank.

Seen Bragging Rights, a pretty fine PPV. The Iron Man match is unexpectedly entertaining -- but, Orton could've waited for the time to run out.

Yeah, I was like, dude run out the arena, get in your car and keep driving.

Survivor Series World Championship matches are too predictable to me, both Triple Threat matches with the contenders as tag teams (well unless they come up with something new like making HBK a heel or something like that).

I reckon they'll go the predictable route, moving towards a HHH heel turn and a match with HBK at Wrestlemania 26. That wouldn't be so bad, I don't mind HHH as a face but like Batista's turn it could freshen things up.
Meanwhile, it'll be interesting to see what impact Hogan and Bischoff have with TNA since Hogan is apparently coming into the company in more of a backstage role, with some in-ring appearances. It seems to be generating some excitement on the news sites with all kinds of speculation, especially since there's rumblings of TNA getting a Monday night show to go head-to-head with RAW. I'm not sure how well it would do, but if TNA do get their act together then it has to be good for the business and might just put a stop to the PG stuff in WWE.

Does anyone really care about whether Trips is a heel or a face or even on tv?
Mon Nov 02, 2009 12:58 am
Is TNA also having that PG-13 approach?. I want to watch Bragging Rights
Mon Nov 02, 2009 1:53 am
no, they are still bleeding, drinking beer in the ring, etc
Mon Nov 02, 2009 5:25 am
Watched WWE Long time ago.
Just wonder, where's BoogeyMan now,how is he going?

His last appearance on WWE programming was on March 3, where he lost in a match against Kane. The next day, WWE announced that they had released Wright from his contract.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_WrightWikipedia is awesome for "where are they now?" kind of questions

I would say yes. It has an impact on the rest of the programming, after all. That reminds me, as a heel he dominated the main event scene with numerous title reigns, so while it might freshen up his character it could get stale again very quickly as he continues on the road to 20+ world title reigns.

I can see that happening too.

With his political stroke and the current approach of numerous title changes in the name of keeping things "interesting", it doesn't seem far fetched. Here's hoping TNA can be more competitive, without a monopoly on the business the WWE won't have the freedom to do whatever it wants to the detriment of the product. It remains to be seen if Bischoff can work with a smaller budget though, since he won't have Ted Turner's money behind him this time.

I dont think we talked about it yet, but TNA is rumored to be creating a 2nd show, on Monday night, to compete with Raw.
saw that on wrestlezone the other day, if I think of it I'll get a link later
Also, TNA is doing a House show in the coming weeks down in Amherst, thinking I might check it out if prices are good
