Talk about NBA 2K10 here.

hello everyone. the reason for asking is I want to add fellow NLSC members as my friends and see who's online and play with them. is it possible in 2K10? I can't see any menu wherein I can type their username and send an invite. I don't want to be rude but in nba live this is so easy.

what a HUGE disappointment for a game who is marketing an online feature

Any game that tries to go online has growing pains.

that's not even it. the game relies heavily, as it should, on the PS3/360's friends list feature. If online was going to work properly they either need to full integrate with Steam or Games for Windows Live this year.

true, that's why every game developer needs to hire a true master of online craft nowadays and an honest to goodness beta-tester.

now comes the ironic part. how does steam will allow their competitors to be fully integrated on their server as well? like games that came from gamersgate for instance. I like the idea of Windows Live though because it will make the game legit and ask for a valid serial number.

I hate steam and games for windows live.

kietsmark, they dont, the game would have to be released like 2k9 integrated with steam or through steam digitally
however, I run my gamersgate copy through steam by adding a "non-steam game" to my games list.
Al Ka Pwn, why, if you getting the games legally running steam or having GFWL run in-game adds good features rather than take anything away.
both being able to chat with other people while in game, steam letting you go on a web browser in-game. I mean, it doesn't take anything away from the game's experience, just adds more to it

it's supposed to make people used to checking up on eachother, so they won't mind if the government does it outside of games. At least, that's my theory. I have been able to use chatservices or vent to talk and meet up with people I enjoyed playing with. Didn't need steam or gfwl back then, don't need it now. I also dislike that gfwl makes you get another account just to play a game. Too much hassle. Having good online play is enough to make people buy the game in my opinion.

well owning a 360 makes GFWL a nice selling point for me, but that first part was pretty paranoid on your end

Guess you are already used to it then.
