That's what Kobe Bryant asked for two seasons ago, when the LA Lakers are one of the below average teams in the league.
Then February 1, 2008 came, the Lakers aquired the Spanish superstar Pau Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies,in exchange,
they traded away three peanuts(Aaron Mckie, Javaris Crittenton and Kwame Brown) and the rights to Pau's Brother Marc.
Pau easily gelled with the guys wearing purple and gold as the Lakers finished the season as
the runners-up to the eventual champs, the Boston Celtics, With Kobe winning the season MVP award, his first.

The Lakers felt bad as they watch the Celtics celebrate, in return they used it as a motivation in the up coming 2008-2009 season.
The Lakers had a tremendous season finishing as the top seed in the West, they cruised into the play-offs and into the finals.
And their long awaited dream was fulfilled, as they won their 15th championship, 4th for Kobe and 10th for Phil Jackson,
by defeating the Orlando Magic in 5 games.

Another season is about to unfold, will this be Andrew Bynum's breakout year? Will Kobe Bryant win his second MVP? The Lakers have
only one quest, the quest for their 16th championship. Will the Lakers be dethroned? Or will they repeat? Stay tuned.

Lakers close to signing AI



The Los Angeles Lakers are close to signing Allen Iverson
"They are just waiting for AI to sign, he verbally agreed," one source
told Deathbringer-Sports.com. "Both parties agreed to the deal, AI wants
to win, AI wants to wear Purple and Gold." Gary Moore, Iverson's Manager.

The former 1st overall pick, Season MVP and two-time All-Star game MVP
averages 27 PPG 6.2 APG 3.7 RPG and 2.2 SPG within his 13 year
tenure playing as a pro, he played with four teams(Sixers, Nuggets, Pistons and Grizzlies)
and has been with three(Nuggets, Pistons and Grizzlies) different teams
within in a span of 2 years, known for having a questionable attitude,
things just didn't work out for Iverson in Memphis,
as he requested a leave and was eventually released
by the team.

Breaking News: AI signs with the Lakers



Allen Iverson, the former 1st overall pick of the Philadelphia 76ers
has formally signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, Iverson recieves a 1 year contract(Veteran's Minimum).
"I want to win man, i love winning, i'm tired of losing that's why i came here,"
Allen Iverson told Deathbringer-Sports.com "It doesn't have to be a starting role,
i just really want to play hard and make this team even more better,"
Iverson said. "I love Allen, i love how he drives to the lane, he'll be a fit to our team,"
Kobe Bryant.

Iverson is expected to come off the bench together with Brown, Walton, Odom and Powell,
he's a huge upgrade at the PG spot and adds fire power off the bench.

Iverson will wear no. 3.

thierryhenry50 i want Fish to start with Kobe, Pau, Ron-Ron and Drew while running the triangle, AI will come off the bench and play with Odom and the others, well, i'll run a fast paced tempo while using the bench.
