HEAT ROAD RECAP
MIAMI 1-1 SO FAR IN THEIR THREE-GAME ROAD TRIP
The Miami Heat now improved to 1-1 on their current three-game road trip that will end tomorrow in Milwaukee against the Bucks. The team started out on a bad note, dropping the first game of the trip to the San Antonio Spurs, 87-76 after Manu Ginobili led a furious 2nd quarter surge which the Heat was not able to recover from.

In their next stop, Dwyane Wade had 20 points, the only member of the Heat in double figures, to lead a second half rally as Miami defeated Minnesota, 73-65. The Heat overcame Al Jefferson's 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assist-game with a balanced effort. What is to be noted though is the struggles of Heat center Jermaine O'Neal, who has earned the ire of GM Isaiah Cruz.

HEAT MAKE QUICK WORK OF BUCKS BOX SCORE
HEAT
BUCKS![]()

MILWAUKEE, WI - Before the game, Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra put a specific emphasis on rebounding and defense to their game plan.
In their last game of the road trip, they surely responded. The Heat played excellent defense, holding their to 41% shooting, leading by as many as 28 points and grabbed a season-high 43 rebounds as they blew out the Milwaukee Bucks, 91-67. For their part, Miami shot 52% from the field, and proved themselves to be the deeper team as their reserves out-scored the Bucks' bench, 37-18.
Dwyane Wade led the Heat in scored with 20 points, leading a very balanced attack. Seven Heat players scored at least 8 points. Michael Redd had a solid game for Milwaukee, pouring in 26 points, pulling 4 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists, but had very little help.
The game was close in the first quarter, before the Heat made a run near the end of the period to lead by eight, 25-17. Their momentum was sustained at the start of the second period as they went on a frantic 25-8 blitz that practically decided the game. It gave them their biggest lead of the first half, 50-25. In the second half, the Heat kept the Bucks at bay, not allowing them to go on a run. Later, Daequan Cook's fastbreak dunk gave Miami their biggest lead of the game, 77-49.
"This is big win for the team," Spoelstra said. "It boots their confidence a little bit. In our first few games we had a little trouble scoring the basketball, but I challenged these guys at practice. Looks like it's starting to pay off."
The Heat now go home to face off against the Utah Jazz.
HEAT TRADE DIAWARA TO LAKERS FOR POWELL ![]()
Milwaukee, WI - A few hours after the Heat's victory against the Milwaukee Bucks, it was announced by Heat GM Isaiah Cruz to the Associated Press that the had agreed to terms with the Lakers that will send little-used forward Yakhouba Diawara in exchange for forward Josh Powell.
"It's so unfortunate that it had to come at a time like this, after a big win," Cruz said. "But basketball is a business, and you have to make some tough decisions."
He emphasized that move was to help address the small forward situation.
"With Yakhouba, we had five small forwarads on the team. So far we currently now have Michael Beasley, Quentin Richardson, James Jones and Dorrell Wright listed as our small forwards. It was hard to give playing time to all of them, plus we were lacking a big body down low. It's also a better opportunity for Diawara to showcase his talents as it was hard for him to get any playing time here with us. The team wishes him well in his future endeavors."
Udonis Haslem is the team's only listed power forward. Beasley and Richardson are in the regular rotation while James and Wright is little-used, with Wright being on the injured reserved list.
Powell is averaged 3.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and shot 47.6% from the field in 7 games for the Lakers. Diawara averaged 1.0 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 steals in 2 games for the Heat. Against the Bucks, he only managed 2 points on 1-of-5 shooting.

HEAT RETURN HOME AND LOSE TO JAZZBOX SCORE
HEAT - 73
JAZZ - 93
MIAMI, FL - After a huge win against the Bucks, the Heat returned home feeling good about themselves, only to suffer the same fate as Milwaukee did, losing 93-73 to the Utah Jazz.
Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 26 points, but none of his teammates could get into any kind of rhythm due to the physical defense played by Utah. The Jazz had a balanced effort with five players scoring in double figures.

Jermaine O'Neal shooting against Rabeh Al-Hussaini![]()

MIAMI, FL - Rabeh Al-Hussaini, the Philadelphia 76ers center was a regarded as a revelation by the team and it's fans, averaging close to 22 points and 9 rebounds on the season. In preparation, Chris Tiu mentioned to the coaching staff at practice Al-Hussaini's tendencies and his favorite spots on the floor. It proved to be correct as the Heat's defense limited Rabeh to 5-12 shooting, 10 points and 1 rebound.
However, so much focus has been on Al-Hussaini this entire season that they've forgotten about the other players. Andre Igoudala scored 31 points after scoring only 6 on 28% shooting in the first half to lead Phildelphia to a 114-80 total thrashing of the Miami Heat, improving their record to 6-1 and staying on top of the conference standings.
He scored mostly on posterizing jams and constantly found himself wide open on numerous possessions that he started to calmly drain jumpers. He shot 13-of-19 from the field. He also grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 6 assists.
"We just ran our offense," Igoudala said.
Dwyane Wade could not get going at all, scoring only 10 points on 3-of-11 shooting. Udonis Haslem led the head with 17 points, and Jermaine O'Neal scored 16, mostly against Al-Hussaini.
The Heat have now lost two straight, both by more than 20 points.
Chris Tiu, Miami's Filipino and Rabeh's former schoolmate and teammate on the 2008 Ateneo Blue Eagles championship team, scored only 8 points on 2-of-8 shooting but also dished out 7 assists. He is set to go down to the D-League in December.
"Hopefully I can come back to the team sooner," Tiu said.
Philadelphia had 7 players in double figures.

Heat trades Quinn, Wright, Jones in exchange for Jerome James![]()

MIAMI, FL - In a questionable move right after the team's humiliating loss against the Utah Jazz, Heat GM Isaiah Cruz has announced a widely controversial trade.
Guard Chris Quinn and forwards James Jones and Dorrell Wright have all been shipped to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for the much-maligned Jerome James and his 1-year, $6-million expiring contract.
"It's for the salary cap, to save money," Cruz said. "We had to fix this logjam and this disappointment at certain positions. I believe we have solved that now."
Chris Quinn, who has been largely disappointed this season of being dropped out of the rotation, averaged 1.0 points on 16.6% shooting in 2 games for Miami. Jones hasn't been able to get into the rotation due to the surprising play of Quentin Richardson, and posted 1.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7 games. Wright did not play a game with Miami.
James only played 1 game for Chicago and only registered a single rebound.
"This move saves us around $4 million dollars off our salary cap," Cruz continued.
The Heat's roster now has 12 players.

hova- wrote:Ok. First of all. Tough loss, man. Two losses after a promising start. Now the trade: I would definitely love this. Jerome's contract come off the book next year. You really need money in order to resign Wade and get some guys around him. With JO's salary also ending this should be all possible now.
Why I only WOULD love this is the fact that,
you gave up Dorrell Wright. Really, this kid got game imho and since he is not injury prone in the game (there are almost no ingame injuries anyway, thx 2k) he could definitely help you.
Jerome James can hit the three which can be important at times. Quinn is a sucker.
Still you give up a bit too much imho. Grade: B-
