Mmm, stadiums.
I was just about to post about how hard blender is to work with, and that we need a step by step tutorial since everybody wants to do the same thing: edit the entire head model(hair included) with the textures and normal maps applied. I was just going to try and save to a format that I could import into 3DS Max and go from there, but damn I can't get very far.
On another note, blender can be used to bake normal maps so people can create better shading for their cyberfaces than by using Photoshop.

Until i make the videotutorial here is a link for the blender beginer´s:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syFB4IbKG6QBlender interface seems to be complicated but when you learn the basic steps you will see that :
here two links with tutorial of pes face´s (only to learn blender):
http://rapidshare.com/files/168602037/blender.rarhttp://uploaded.to/?id=lnfl53Basic Blender controls:
Rotate 3D: Hold Alt and use left mouse to rotate
Move through UV image editor ( UV map ): Hold alt and use left mouse
Select all / Deselect points: Press A
View selected points: Num pad
Select Points ( 3d or UV ): Press B and use left mouse
Hint: When you select a point in Textured mode , you have to select it again in Wireframe mode ( in 3d not uv )

where do we get the hair textures??
Sun Oct 04, 2009 6:09 pm
Use the Ciber Face Converter, click the textures menu at the top and open an uncomressed IFF like Luis Scola, Mike Miller, or Robert Smith. The hair will be in the second texture.

Is this program compatible with Windows 7?
Mon Oct 05, 2009 12:37 am
Hi excuse me because there are an error in readme file to import you have to do this:
Go to File Menu\Import\ImportCff and select the .cff file
taht´s because finally i rename the scripts to use it with another games.
I don´t have windows 7 so i can test it if it works, i am finishing a small video tutorial of how to import and then edit face and hair at the same time

Here is my videotutorial of how ti use cff files in blender, see the first post where you have all the tutorials:

Now i finally got it to work gotta need to practice making cf's though since i was not able to make one since 2008
Mon Oct 05, 2009 6:06 pm
haha wow..
yeh its kinda hard to make a cf in this program.. i dunno if it can be done.. can some one help with like darkening and junk in this?
Mon Oct 05, 2009 11:04 pm
Do not attempt to make cyberface textures in blender, only headshapes and for baking some good normal maps. Stick with Photoshop/Gimp.
Mon Oct 05, 2009 11:10 pm
k i thort so. its pretty much only good for players with hair. i tried one ( that bogut i did) i could not do the hair.cff and i couldnt edit him at all.. so players that you edit with hex you cant edit with this..
Mon Oct 05, 2009 11:44 pm
If you want to see the no cff hair players with his hair textured in blender you have to export the face texture as png and now you don´t see the hair transparent you are going to see the hair with its texture.
So i recommend to use png textures in blender, only save as .dds or .bmp the textures thar you are going to edit in photoshop to reimport them again into the iff file

this is the dds one

this is the png one
