The away jersey was revealed on the internet some time ago, but now it's official.

I really like they're whole retro concept. Looks good.

Not bad, if nothing else they'll stand out from the other designs. Truth be told though, I didn't think a change was necessary especially since they'd already adopted a new design within the last couple of years.

I do think that a change was necessary because the previous design was incredibly wack to me and I do like the retro feeling to the new unis and the fact that they're different from the other teams' jerseys.
That being said I think the new unis are still lame. They should have just gone with the original retros they wore last season. It's like a very great idea with pretty poor execution. I also dislike that the font and the numbers are in different colors on the home jerseys.

Same here. I really thought after reading the article on their website, that they're getting back to the Erving retros but err, the home ones fail to look nice.

They are, indeed, lame. They need some outlines on the #'s and the 'Sixers' text. Also I'm torn on the different colors of the number and wordmark on the home one.

Damn ugly imo. Could've at least modernized it alot more.
Might be just me, but a redesign along the lines of this jersey would've been awesome, especially with the two-tone being modified into a gradient-like fade.

I actually liked the old ones. Those are hideous. All jerseys that have come out in the past 5 years have been hideous. Why the fuck are they trying to ruin every single facet of the NBA?

i hate em too. i know they wanna look retro but i could had made that look better on Ms paint (i cant really but u get the idea)

Did you notice that the most popular threads right now in this section are about jerseys or broadcasts? And that of the "Top Tens" Andrew posted, the two jersey ones also got the most posts?
We're scraping the bottom of the barrel here. People around here hate to talk about basketball except in the abstract. (A few people excepted.)

That would've been alright. I've got to give them credit for going against the grain and really going retro with the designs but a more modern reimagining of the classic jerseys would've been better. Still not a fan of the box around the logo either, the new/old design would have been fine without it.

Then why post in the thread? If you're not interested in a topic, why not just avoid it and create your own if there's something you'd rather talk about?

Not to defend talk of jerseys or the top tens as the most intellectual or interesting discussion of basketball related topics, but I don't think there's anything wrong with talking about them either. It's kind of a slow offseason at the moment so I suppose that leads to people talking about basketball in a more abstract way...though to be honest I'm not entirely sure which discussions you're referring to there.
